Reviews of Sandalwood (original) ![]() PandorasPal United StatesShow all reviews | This was the first sandalwood I ever bought (imprint here). Not another like it (including C&E's Sandalwood Eau de Toilette). Light, fresh, like a cool breeze. But the store closed (before the Internet) and couldn't find it locally. Went on to heavier sandalwoods, but couldn't forget this one. 16th May, 2009. |
![]() Hillaire GermanyShow all reviews | I used to buy this to scent my home, especially my bath. I recall many people commenting, upon entering my space, about the lovely smell of my home. I always attributed it to this scent. Funny, I never wore it but in retrospect, I see that I valued it greatly nonetheless. As I write this, I really miss this one. Maybe I will find some. 17th December, 2008. |
| Gimpee United KingdomShow all reviews | A big clean and fresh woody smell. Ideal for layering or on its own for a unique understated smell. Decent longevity, but not to overpowering. The drydown remained quite fresh and sharp, with the sandalwood in the back as an everpresent. It is a classic gentlemans frag. 11th September, 2008. |
![]() tnamey United StatesShow all reviews | A sandalwood classic. Mysore sandalwood mixed with cedar and citrus. A classic for a sure cure for "sandalwood" fetish! 27th April, 2008. |
| Ken_Russell RomaniaShow all reviews | I like Sandalwood because it's classic and conservative. Worth wearing as an evening or wintertime scent, it has an unexpectedly rich, long and powerful drydown. First, i couldn't smell anything else but sandalwood, tough pure and costly, too unilateral, reminding of incence and syrup. But afterwards, a the leathery, peppery and almost carnal notes rendered the scent more subtle and versatile, reminding of good old high-end bath-houses and barbershops( more precisely, that smell of high quality essences and balms lingering there). 3rd December, 2006. |
