   |  Same experience here as MonkeyManMatt. What others describe as decaying flower presented itself to me clearly as "cat pee," identical to a classic faulty note in red wines caused by excessive geraniol due to mishandling. Either there is an interpretive split on this note or the mini I tried was also a off, which is quite likely. Either way, as there is no more fresh Ténéré to be had, a blind buy would seem quite risky. This did smell quite promising, from what I could tell beyond feeling like Felix the Cat had given me some golden shower. 08 February 2007 |
  | Just recently sampled a very old bottle of this and I'm almost sure it had gone off, cause it was very urine-like... Can't imagine this was the purpose, especially with the 2 positive reviews. It did smell rather mossy though, which seems to be a Rabanne house note. Hope I can smell an okay version of this sometime, the bottle is very alluring somehow in all of it's simplicity. 27 September 2005 |

| Tenere is a dark and brooding rose based fragrance. The packaging really does match and represent the fragrance in this case. It’s a very smooth, yet dark rose fragrance. It’s very nice and distinctive, but it has this slightly off putting bathroom like note a la Kouros. It’s nice, unique, and long lasting, but not one of my favorites. 19 September 2005 |
