Troika (1920)

This was my mother's scent, it was warm, slightly spice. I couldn't tell you which I don't believe I have a good enough nose; but when I tried Hermes', Eau Des Merveilles for the first time, I immediately thought of her, so there may be some similarities. The only time I ever saw her cry, was sitting on her bed holding her bottle of Troika, when she learned the scent had been discontinued. I would love to see this scent reissued, I'll be first in line!

I was given Troika as a gift when I was 23 years old. It was my absolute favorite fragrance. Troika was so pleasing to the senses and very clean smelling, too. Whenever I had on Troika, people would always comment on how nice it was. It did smell a bit like 4711 but with more "body" to it. It was a citrus scent with some green and leather in it. It lasted on my skin for much longer than 4711. It was almost on the order of Piver's Parfum d' Adventure Pour Homme. I wish they still made it because for sure, I would still buy it !!
