   |  Versus -- in spite of having been released in 1991 - is a close cousin of other early 80s / late 70s "green", sharp coniferous brews with complicated floral hearts like Van Cleef and Oscar de la Renta PH. In other words, it espouses an aesthetic a decade earlier than its release date. Given this, is it hard to understand why it tanked?   |  I wore this back in College in the early 90's. I recently decided to do a sensory "time travel" and was able to find a bottle of it on ebay for relatively cheap. I loved it then and love it now. A great scent that is not too overpowering. 19 July 2008 |
  | A bit dissapointed with this, sounds like you need to have history with it in order to love it. It reminded me of Old Spice original, a lot actually. Much like Gucci Envy...but a lot smoother and more refined. The Gucci weas far too harsh. I really like Old SPice, but it can smell cheap at times. This is a good alternative. 17 April 2008 |

  | I first tried this working in a London department store when i had just left school. It REALLY is a great scent if you can hold of it. Luckily there is still a few about in london. It starts with a lemon sweet sherbert tang to it, very strong, then seetles down to a lemon, pine fir cross before finally a lemon pie and cream smell. My wife adores it, evry woman who has smelt it on me has commented how nice it is. I now work in a hotel in london, we have a lot of guests from the USA when i where it they say i smell like Alabama lemon pie! there is nothing else wuite like it, and it lasts and lasts and last! my favorite of all time. 22 May 2006 |
 | I love the pine/cedar/lemon complexity of this fine fragrance. Perfect for the rugged lumberjack-type fellow living deep in the forested mountains of Colorado with his partner. A very outdoorsy, not too piney scent. I just bought four bottles in anticipation of its discontinuation. Does bring back memories of the early 1990s, when I wore this fragrance going out to the discoteque. Got many compliments and close hugs and kisses just to smell me. 26 December 2005 |
