You never know how much you miss something until it's gone. Have returned to TDB and I still love it, which doesn't always happen. A brilliantly blended unisex fragrance by Lyn Harris of woods, herbs and spices. The fennel and juniper in the middle are the stars together with the lovely patchouli at the bottom. Lasts all day on me, spanking sillage and women love it -- there are no negatives. A brilliant creation.

This is an odd creation from Miller Harris, a fusion of interesting ingredients that struggle to find the balance required to give this a real identity. The opening is a robust affair, offering a brief herbal episode infused with citric character.Drying down, the blend becomes a little unbalanced and none of the elements make a strong enough impression to please. I did find solace in the forest floor earthiness that developed from the Vetiver presence, and it did finally begin to live up to it's name. Sadly, it never pleased me on sufficient levels to warrant a thumbs up.

Nice rich herbaceous citrus scent with warm woody undertones. Smells very classical and traditional, yet timeless and contemporary. Fresh, aromatic and understated.
It sort of beats me why there isn`t any citrus fruits in the note list. I could swear I get some lemon.

This is very comparable to many other classy rich herbal-citrus scents that includes those well known and much used woody tones.

Faraway from being anything groundbraking or original, but it`s a pleasant natural smelling scent to be worn anywhere, anytime. Very well made, although lasting power could be better. Definitely unisex.

Nice, it`s just not for me at all. Thumbs down beacause of the boring value for the high price.

Terre de Bois is an unusual creature for me. It's floral yet earthy yet woody yet cologny... I fully smell the florals on top. As it develops, I get the woods but it's really fleeting. It's not as powerful to my nose as I thought. As it develops, it becomes a floral vetiver and then a woody vetiver. Too bad it came and went too fast.

A lemony-herbal boiled sweet dipped in good chypre cologne. It's a wearable, moorish, almost addictive scent, suitable for both men and women (I love how it smells on my husband, but I also adore how it smells on me). Particularly appropriate for summer, but don't restrict yourself - wear whenever you want to be uplifted without having to resort to something eye-wateringly zingy.

Great fragrance, very subtle with almost 'smoky'aroma. I have the EdP. Altough the scent last, I wish it were a more potent.

A fantastic wood fragrance (with caveats). A full rich accord of vetiver / patchouli / verbena / galbanum creates a somewhat potent opening. When the juniper and Indian spices move into the mix, the scent becomes near exotic and on-target addictive. With time, the fragrance loses its potency and settles into a refined, understated light wood / light spice / aromatic heart. This accord achieves richness without excessive mass, and elegance with seriously-earthy accords (how do they do that?). I am surprised that it can maintain such a presence with so little body—maybe the galbanum is the secret. Of course this structure forces the scent to be quite linear—there’s no mass to contain the potential for movement, and I believe the rich delicacy achieved is worth the loss of variety and flow. But I think that the loss of longevity IS too much of a price to pay for forty-five minutes of rich and light ambiance. I would seriously love this to have better longevity. I can’t wait to try the EDP—it could be near perfection.

Very good in the beginning. Just what I want in a scent this time of the year. Unfortunately it fades in the drydown. Maybe the EDP is what I want instead. As it is I will only give it a neutral grade because of the week ending.

"Sir, have you taken to layering your Santal Noble with something else?" I thought that Terre de Bois might just confuse my assistant, for it is very hard to pigeonhole!

After an initial sharp, alcoholic opening, Terre de Bois settles down beautifully with vetiver, galbanum, juniper, and sage most apparent, supported by a deft touch of spices, ambergris, and patchouli. It is not unlike Santal Noble, though with no sandalwood to speak of and without what I perceive as Santal Noble's refreshing minty topnote. If the Terre de Bois EDT is this good, I've got to imagine the parfum might just be 'da bomb!

Linear lifeless cloud of saccharine with nothing behind it and a hollow hot-tin-roof aftertaste typical of the new breed of those jetset crowd scents that don't seem to say much more than "I'm trendy, dynamic and expensive". Not worth a fraction of the price tag.

One of the finest perfumes I've found so far, this is a gentle woodland/earthy aroma with warm amber overtones and intriguing spices. The drydown is sublime, long-lasting, and almost indescribable in its beauty.

Terre de Bois is suitable for all seasons, but especially autumn I think. Each time I wear it new secrets are revealed; it always fascinates. So subtle, you might occasionally think it has faded, then suddenly it returns, in new richness, and the magic goes on and on.

The Eau de Parfum comes in a beautiful 30ml crystal bottle; luxury defined.

I am planning to get the 100ml Eau de Toilette spray also in the near future, and hope it will be as excellent as this EDP. I'm sure they would be very good layered together.
