Gold Musk

After ten minutes the soapiness disappears and it becomes quite a sensual, mysterious fragrance, reminiscent of renaissance Florence,or perhaps the far east.
I am not a musk person, but when my husband chose this for me I tried it and now love it. I get a lot of compliments too, sometimes from strangers

Expensive Jovan Musk and that's about it. Nice soapy opening similar to Dial, but the urine-like musk quickly takes over and makes the scent unpleasant.

A rather acidy sharp blast at the opening for a minute, but then the scent settles down to a quite powdery citrus / almond (I think) / musk. The powdery musk of Muschio Oro does have a rather strong soapy ambiance to it. Muschio Oro is powdery and soapy but in a charming old-fashioned way. The fragrance is not classically structured with a top, mid, and base; it is quite linear and it is beautifully old fashioned. It is very nostalgic, and I am drawn to it because its accords are timeless. I can’t help but smell the depth of past in this fragrance, and I find that Impressive.

The other reviewers have nailed it. It's got the same powderiness as SMN's Musk (which is like Villorsi Musk Light), but amped up big time and with a sharp, bright golden vibe. Powdery, soapy - smells a lot like a very strong Johnson's Baby Shampoo or maybe Dial soap - and strong, tons of sillage. It's got that piercing, shimmering yet powdery quality that characterizes those scents. The "musk" is the vegetable-based musk like SMN's Musk (Muschio), and it's got a slick, dusty, rooty quality that I think gives it an incense-like vibe. Odd but not bad. Just not something I'm likely to wear, especially at $85 a bottle!

Reminds me of Johnson's baby shampoo, but slightly more astringent and STRONG! One of SMN's longer lasting scents, but not something I want to wear...almost urea like in its golden-ness....yikes!

Not one of SMN's better fragrances, but good nonetheless. I find it rather soapy in smell, but having a rather nice incense-like quality at the base.
