This is nice. fresh and relaxing yet stimulating. Never even heard of it. I would probably pass this one off in a discount bin had I not smelled it before hand. Of all the Acqua di Gio clones, this is the most interesting. Even more interesting than Perry Ellis 360 Red. 360 Red is spicier but inbound plays more on the florals. Also feels like it lasts longer. If you see this in a bargain bin pick it up if you like Aqcua di Gio for the opening notes since they stay longer in Unbound. 19 June 2008

To me Halston’s Unbound is the most interesting of the Acqua di Gio clones. It can more than hold its own against the others, including AdG itself. I like the opening better than AdG’s because it is a bit stronger, it’s more fulfilling with its tomato leaf accord. It is also less synthetic. Let’s face it, hardly anyone will be going in raptures about the accords of any aquatic: Aquatic notes are just not as endearing as woods or florals or greens or sweets… An aquatic by any other name would smell as boring. Unbound, in my opinion, smells a bit better than AdG, and it lasts longer, and with the money saved in the difference in price, a person can buy an additional fragrance of his or her choice. For the person who is really into aquatics and wants a top of the line one, a better aquatic would be Bulgari’s Acqua or Creed’s Erolfa. For the person who wants Acqua di Gio, by all means, buy it, but Halston’s Unbound is a better fragrance and a better deal. 09 March 2008

I swear I reviewed this before... Quite simply, this is Acqua Di Gio done right. Same basic plane of olfactory experience, but picks up where ADG leaves off. Teases you in with the same light breezy top notes, but actually delivers on the promise. Same profile but more to ponder. Lemony, light, fruity (like ADG) and then deliver some spicy, complex undertones to ponder without getting demanding too much attention for a summer evening. Buy this instead of Acqua Di Gio. 13 January 2008

This fragrance is basically a better, longer lasting, less expensive version of Acqua di Gio. This fragrance type will never be a stable of my fragrance collection but it does have its place. 07 May 2007

To me, this smells like cucumbers when I first put it on. Not that this is a bad thing; I really like it. It eventually develops into a light herby scent that lasts quite a long time on me, but that cucumber aura never seems to leave, always enlivening the proceedings. How nice—very fresh, lively, and clean. I love this! 22 April 2007

I also, as stated by a previous poster, purchased this for $10.99,excluding tax at a local Marshalls. This is the fragrance I wear around the house or to run to the grocery store, although it is good enough for more casual occasions. I like it very much. I get good compliments, and it lasts pretty good to my surprise. Strong upon initial application. My only discrepency is that the violet dominates a bit too much at times. 10 April 2007

Very sweet and fruity... because of the fruitiness it probably reminds me a little more of CL's Bazaar than it does AdG. The dry-down brings more of an aquatic "feel" like AdG... definitely been done before, but somehow Unbound does it better. 05 December 2006

I like it a lot. I love it in fact! Better than ADG -- much better and lasts several hours more than ADG. Yes, several hours more. 9 bucks at Marshalls...what a steal. Unbound is a keeper and honestly it's becoming my number one frag. 01 November 2006

Very much a AdG clone, but very well done. I actually prefer this to the original, as this fragrance has more sillage and has a slightly fruitier note. And the best part? Got a 3.4oz bottle for 10 bucks. Fosheezie! 18 October 2006

Far better than the female counterpart by the same name. Foetidus is correct in his assessment -- this IS the best of the "family" that I've smelled to date. (Well, Acqua by Bvlgari comes close . . .) Foetidus is right, too, in pointing out the "lots of bang for the buck" factor. 11 October 2006

A great alternative to Acqua Di Gio. In fact I like it more because it's stronger and lasts longer. I'm not saying that Acqua Di Gio is a bad scent, but why buy it when you can get this for much cheaper. 27 December 2005

At first, I didn't like the smell too much. However, I had tried it again recently, and loved it!! It definitely smells like Acqua di Gio, as one of my co-workers thought it was. But it is deeper, more citrus, and more memorable, IMO. A great bargain at the local discount stores. :-) 19 September 2005

This was actually the first EDT or cologne I ever purchased, and I still like it. Yes, it smells a lot like Acqua de Gio, but I prefer this for reasons I can't thoroughly articulate (sorry, I don't speak Fragrancese). I would add, however, that the Unbound aftershave balm was definitely not to my liking. Go figure. 11 February 2005

I would have to disagree with the previous reviewers comments. I say spend less and get Unbound instead of Acqua de Gio. Unbound is a beautiful aquatic fragrance. Yes, its an obvious clone of Acqua, but a tad bit stronger and more fruity. I don't often get compliments, but the cashier I purchased this from kept going on about how good I smelled. Check your local Marshalls or Tj Maxx, you can find this gem for a bargain. :) 29 December 2003

I got a chance to smell this and it's good. It smells just like Acqua Di Gio. Some will hate it because of that. I don't. Unbound is less money and just as good. 01 March 2002
