Sandalwood

I was initially adverse to this cologne as it was very sweet and powdery. I gave it another couple of tries and it's really grown on me. The aftershave is really good and has the "bite" when applied, which I kind of like in an aftershave.

The sandalwood is very sweet and comes on strong, but mellows out fairly quickly and has lasting power, I could still detect it the next day.

Very good sandalwood, well worth a try.

There are a few scent classes so familiar all renditions will either face a favourable or hostile reaction. Bay rum has enough efforts to merit a 'wine tasting' with people who like this usually well received and manly scent. Sandalwood by it's very prepotency will
either be loved or hated. The pure, and endangered pure sandalwood is entirely different from the many makes.I like the TOBS. It's englishman home from India, the flower duet from Lakme' exotic with his tan but still familiar.

This is a good sandalwood and will wear it in a pinch. It's not too loud and pleasant. It's pretty standard sandalwood.

Initial burst is of sandalwood, One minute after that it disappears into history with nothing left to remind you it was once there. Would reccomend only if one has clogged nostrils and needs to open them. Plain water may just do the same also.

I think this is one of the most beautiful Sandalwood fragrances out there.

It starts out quite strong, but bear with it because the drydown is divine. It's sweet and light and soooo elegant. A sweet rose note over that glorious creamy sandalwood. A fairly linear but classic CLASSIC fragrance.

It is very English and old school - but wonderfully modern at the same time.

Oh and it's ridiculously underpriced, Penhaligons would be charging two or three times this!

Taylor of Old Bond St. Sandalwood is a moderately rich, soapy sandalwood fragrance with a hint of rose in it. The longevity is about 3-4 hours, with moderate to heavy projection for the first hour or so, after which it hovers close to the skin. Recommended for mature audiences or young fogeys only. Works well with tweeds and Lacoste tennis shirts. If you think of wearing this for "clubbing" it had better be the university club or gentlemen's lunch club.
