Reviews of No. 74 Victorian Lime

Perfect summer lime cologne good for the casual beach or summer barbecues. As mentioned above the longest lasting lime and I have tried several. Not a pure lime scent but certainly close enough to make me happy. Projection is ok with 2 splashes as is silage. Overall pleasant nonobtrusive product with good value as all TOBS products.

A lasting lime scent

The top note is lime, with a drydown that has floral features of fuchsia and a touch of rose, but never becomes sweet. Later on a greenish note develops with a gentle moss influence, but not enough to call it a real chypre. It's projection is good on my skin, and it is a lime scent to the end - and that end is an excellent six hours after I applied it.

The longest lasting 'lime' of many I've tried. It doesn't smell quite as natural as some, and longevity is extended by the addition of mossy and musky base notes which render the scent overall a little 'dated'; I like it but I don't love it. Great for grandad.

No. 74 Victorian Lime by Taylor of Old Bond Street ... a invigorating lemon and lime opening, with the woodiness of the lime oil nicely enveloping the lemon vibe, which is carried over to the lovely heart, a heavenly combination of fuschia and rose, which all too soon is captured by the green, woody, mentholish drydown ... projection and longevity are lacking for such an appealing fragrance ...

Begins with an old fashioned accord of rich lime oil and progresses to a slightly floral heart of fuschia and rose. Base notes are leather, musk, and moss.

smells like the bottom of your aunts handbag - nowhere near as light or pleasant as Royal Yacht. Cloying.
