I like the creed house. I just want to give another thumbs up for this. Great amber.

snow and pepper,I get that.very nice scent, only bad thing I say is that it doesn't last long at all on my skin. thumbs up and I can see why himalaya receives high marks.an icee pepper breeze.

This was my first step into the world of niche, and I sure wasn't disappointed. I scanned these reviews for days looking for something I may like and stumbled upon my Holy Grail of scents.
I'll describe it best I can, but there are others here who can do this better than me.
I get a floral/fruity opening with some crisp citrus notes. There is a faint soapiness and fainter metallic tinge. This is where it would get it's cool, arctic feel.
As the drydown kicks in, you get to the Creed payoff: a blissful combination of ambergris, woods and musk. Warm and smooth. This is why you pay the big bucks.
Sillage: fair to good
Lasts fairly well too... better on clothes but I get 3-5 hours.
Beats Paco XS to a pulp! Paco XS is not in the same league as Himalaya. Not even close.
Works well in hot or cold weather.
Creed won me over on it's first try. This is my favorite male fragrance.

Yes, I know I'm not giving you any of the notes--others have done that quite well--suffice it to say you'll garner compliments all day long while feeling like a soaking wet Gene Kelly in "Singing in the Rain."

It's like tap dancing in heaven.

However, should you end up in the other place, not to worry. Himalaya works wonders in hot weather as well.

I was on and off this fragrance for a couple of years and now have settled down with "on". It is a strange one in that it seems to lack any immediate impact or "wow" factor which gives it a hook. However, it creeps up on me as I wear it. It just keeps smelling good. Without ever standing out I keep thinking "that's nice". Until I reach the far drydown where this really does stand out. The base is familiar from other Creed fragrances but it seem particularly well realised here. I first became acutely aware of this low note accord when I smelled it on my nephew about 14 hours after application. It just smelled wonderful, very heavy on the leathery ambergris and woody musk (lots of ambroxin, I think).

It is not one of favourite creeds and I can find things wrong with it if I search; the top notes which smell a little like the scent in washing up liquid to me and the slightly weird gunpowder accord. It is not clean and classical. It may be something of a zeitgeist fragrance, may not be one which survives many years but it is still very well made with great development.

This is a thumbs up from me now (and for the past year or two. my previous review was neutral.

A wonderful blend of citrus and warm woods. Excellent quality is very evident in those notes. Very invigorating and mildly spicy. Perfect for any occasion. One of the best from creed in my opinion. Its has very soft floral and herbal notes that are very much in the background. Excellent creation.

Simply sublime in every way. Perfect. Pricey as with all Creeds but perfect .

The name evokes imagery of snow-capped mountains, which is fitting as Himalaya is most at home in cooler weather. But unlike other scents well-suited for colder months, Himalaya's warmth has a distinct coolness that's just perfect for someone looking for a compromise between fresh summer frags and heavier, spicy scents.

It has a pleasant subtleness to it; clean and soapy citrus and woods are combined with the trademark Creed sweet metallic inkiness, yet not as pronounced as say, SMW or MI. It stays close to the skin and won't blow anyone's socks off, which makes it a great choice to wear at the office.

Himalaya is a beautifully constructed fragance that is sophisticated, warm, and sexy. I detected very little citrus in it, but a light, sweet spice note that made the frag a pleasure to wear from start to finish.

Himalaya reminds me of a refined, luxurious, subtle version of JOHN VARVATOS. While JV can be pretty harsh and medicinal at times (especially if over applied), Himalaya however remains soft and soothing, a gentle glow of a fragrance to be contemplated and savored. Worth the price . . . .

This is one creed that is worth the expense. Absolutely my favorite fragrance along with Angel! This is perfect for any occasion so no worries there. This has a strange but extremely delightful chilling smell and feel. 10 out of 10 seriously.

I like this one more every time I use it. Spicy ambergris, heavenly. The word I associate with this scent is "affluence". Sinfully rich and wonderful. Has the same sillage and longevity issues as I have will all Creeds that I have tried so far, other than that, this is approaching perfection.

Smooth and sweet with fresher character. Ambergris is strong and amazing in this. Really makes the scent. Sweet peppered fruits in the opening and heart make it interesting. Longevity goes under the radar after 5 hours for me but people tell me I smell fantastic long after 7.

This one grows on you. At first it is a great smell but not an amazing scent. After multiple wears you really start to see the quality of the scent. As with most Creeds longevity is moderate at best. However the lovely scent it provides for the first 2-3 hours is heavenly. A must buy for anyone 20-35 years of age. May just be my favorite.

After several years of "common scents" like Chanel, Davidoff, Boss and other Sephora-like's stuff,finally, I went to Creed's perfumes.
The first Creed I own was Neroli Sauvage but on my skin it vanishes very quickly, despite the good smell.
Second try was Green Irish Tweed and since then it's always on my skin, exept during the hot summer days when I prefer to use a marine scent like Erolfa.
Himalaya is my choice for the chilly winter days. It is pure magic. As planned by the house it reminds me of higher Tibet's mountains, with dry and chilly air, sparkling water dropping from the snowed rocks. Wild musk, iron and spicy. A strong scent.

Clean but ambiguous scent. My impression while wearing it is a certain "cool aloofness".

The only thing I don't like about this frag is ( of course) the price. It is sample-worthy to me but not justifiable to buy a bottle. Still a thumbs up even though I will never own more than 10ml of it.

I think this is the best creed i have sampled so far. It has a very nice peppery soapy smell that lasts all day.I find most creeds like royal water and MI too feminine. This scent actually makes you smell good and feel masculant wearing it. To me it feels kinda like GIT but with a kick. Its not quite as boring as GIT yet still has that amazing smell that GIT has. I highly recommend this one if you want to try a creed.Like others have stated a perfectly balanced scent!

This is consistently my favorite scent...the best description that I've heard of this is that Himalaya smells like money. Like a flashy party in the 1920s or an Aston Martin screeching around the corner. I like the scent when I first put it on...but where it really shines is when I'm taking off my undershirt at the end of the day and I can still smell the undernotes close to me. Just a wonderful scent all around and what got me hooked on Creed in the first place.

I love this scent when it is right. Crisp, clean, and smooth all the way around with great silage and longevity. This is not a warm weather cologne, I have noticed in warm weather it is rather pungent as apposed to the crisp, clean, and smooth analogy. Save this for cooler days.

Also this is one temperamental little scent, on top of the weather affliction it posses it also is prone to be "off" from batch to batch. I have bought 3 bottles of this stuff, one was bad, the other 2 have been great. The bad bottle being of 05 vintage, the other 2 being 07 vintage.

Other than that it is one wonderful and unique scent from the house of Creed.

A wonderful scent! Along side Green Irish Tweed and maybe Millesime Imperial, the best Creed I've tried so far. Many Creed fragrances have a rather powdery drydown, which is not bad at all, but sometimes it can become a bit too sweet. Himalaya is somewhat different, the drydown is sweet and green at the same time, giving it a very light and elegant allure. The mid notes resemble those of Original Santal: warm and very, very comfortable. Overall, a perfectly balanced fragrance, suitable for almost any occasion. One of perfumery's finest!

A metallic citrus and oakmoss pepper that lasts for hours. Good for anytime but especially on cooler days. A feel-good fragrance.

This is my favourite scent when going to work or when meeting a client. The drydown is one of the best I have ever seen. For hot weather I prefer MI, but that said this fragrance is absolutely awesome!

It actually took me various trials to really analyse this Creed. There is a lot of talk about Silver Mountain Water and Geir eliciting that fresh mountain air accord - in my opinion, Himalaya elicits that better than either of those two scents. This is a deceptively light fragrance - for a woody citrus, it packs a fairly intense initial sillage, but calms down soon after. The top notes of mandarin and grapefruit, along with the light nature of the scent, really do make you feel as if you are getting whiffs of the cool mountain air. The basenotes of tonka and cedar are spicier, and provide the long lasting base which complements the airy top notes. Very appropriate for intense summers, and would wear well during the winters too. I dont agree with the claims that this is a clone of XS pour homme - their is a slight fleeting resemblance at the start, but the coriander, juniper berry and wild flower notes (all missing in Himalaya) stick out the most in that and make the two fragrances different from each other and each worthy of a try. Comparisons with Chanel Platinum Egoiste: Once again they share a certain character, but Plat Egoiste has a distinctive smoky herbal clarysage-galbanum heart which differentiates it from both Himalaya and XS homme.

Overall, while longevity is good, the sillage is average, but nevertheless, after avoiding it for so long, I may eventually invest in a bottle of this Creed (and what a bottle it is !). Himalaya is Creeds "everyman" fragrance...it won't blow you away with originality or construction, but damn it smells good. On another note: Does anyone else think Creed launched this in north america to increase market share?

This is a fragrance that garners compliments like "you smell very nice" or "what you're wearing is quite pleasant". Nothing sexy, seductive, or alluring about this fragrance, but it does make a good first impression. It's icy cool (like the frozen mountain tops it's named after), but not snobby. It does evoke images of snowy mountain tops the more I spent time with it. My favorite creed to wear for myself. Although I do enjoy MI, SMW, and GIT on others.

I love Himalaya. It contains a cool top note of Grapefruit with warm base notes of Tonkin Musk and Ambergris. It smells like "incense burning on a cold winter night. Snow on the ground, stars in the sky." This is my favorite Oriental fragrance.

Someone once told me that this smells like what you'd expect the Great Gatsby to smell like, and I think that description fits it to a T. It's a roaring 20's sort of a smell, ostentatious but classy at the same time. In short, it smells like money. My only gripe is that, on me at least, it lacks longevity. Still, if you're looking for a fragrance that makes a great impression in a formal setting, look no further.

The missus bought me some for christmas on the way to a take that concert.
i'm frightened to wear it now because she wants it all the time and we can't afford any more kids.

I just bought a flacon of this scent. THis was a risk buy coz they ran out of GIT. I am still on the first few applications. I am still playing around with the scent. I am storing a 2.5ml decant in my ref along with my GIT and SMW. Creed scent seems to have longer sillage and longevity when stored below room temp. Since I spend more time in the Philippines, my ref is the only below room temp place I can store my precious Creeds. I tried using my wine cellar also. ROyal water and ROyal delight ages better in the cellar with the red's, but GIT and SMW needs to be stored in a cooler place. THis is the 1st time I've used something else other than my medicine cabinet to store scents. One thing is for sure. Gone are the days of synthetic scents.

I whiffed Himalaya for the first time at Nieman Marcus yesterday on tester paper. The top notes reminded me of Gucci Envy, which I love. I wholly disagree with the writer who said it smells of Platinum Egoiste. I've never had the pleasure of Paco XS, so I can't comment on those comparisons.

I have been very pleased with Green Irish Tweed this year. When I polish off my Envy, I will probably replace it with a bottle of Himalaya.

After many visits to Neiman Marcus sampling many different Creeds, this was my first Creed purchase. It was down to Himalaya, SMW, and Imperial Millesime. In the end, it was the warmer notes of Himalaya that won out ... very happy with my purchase! I get a lot more out of Creeds than I do many of the more mainstream department store fragrances.

I have to say this is one of the best from Creed. I own so many fragrances, too many! But this one is the one I reach for if I want to impress! Never fails to either. Lovely clean and sweet undertones, typical of Creed. Costs a fortune here in England

Just bought a sample of this stuff and I have to say this stuff is great. The smell is sophisticated but subdued. I can't wait to try some of Creed's other scents.

I LOVE HIMALAYA!!! This and Chanel Allure Homme Sport are the only 2 fragrances I own, I tossed all the others a while ago! I'm 25 years old and I don't need an entire line-up of fragrances to find myself, just 2, maaaaaybe 3! lol! This is my 'Sophisticated' and Allure Homme Sport is my...well...'Sporty', both are 'Sexy'! lol! Along with the bottle, Himalaya's aroma brings a lot of my personality out. It's a very clean and fresh fragrance, it's starts off icy cool and dries down soft and warm. It last's most of the day too, it's definitely worth spending the $$$ for a 4oz. bottle - And it's a hell of a lot smarter than spending all your money on some played out department store high school fragrance every other month! You don't know a damn thing until you've tried a CREED Millesime fragrance, everyone who loves cologne can fall in love with at least one of them.

Quite wonderful, and very safe. Has the typical creed base, and an interesting and lovely devellopment. Starts out like a crisp white cloud,sweet and a little fruity, then soon warms up into a round glowy fuzzy pink fluffy center, ( bit like the second stage of Original Santal) and then these two aspects synthesize into a wonderfully balanced and pleasant aroma which stays stable for the rest of the journey.

The first stage is reminiscant of other colognes (I think it gets compared to XS alot) but it changes over time, and it doesn't reek like chemicals.

It really, really mixes well with a little salty sweat. It really comes alive in a whole new way! If it's the summer and a bit hot, put some on in the morning *before* you shower to see what I mean. You'll want to stay that way all day!

i like this scent a lot and i am very glad with my purchase. I recently purchsed Green Valley by creed and noticed that Himalaya it a better version of it I think. If you like scents that are not too masculine smelling then this is the one. Its not for a lady but then its not too strong and over powering. Women really like this one.

If you are like me and like odd niche scents (like Rose Poivrée or Cologne Bigarade), then it may take you a few wearings to get used to Himalaya. When I first tried it, I thought it was too safe, too sweet, too conventional, and like far too many other scents on the market obtainable for 1/4 the price. But, after letting it run its course over three or four wearings, I really found this one to be quite pleasant. It is clean, fresh, crisp, but with class to spare. It works very well for daywear, especially for meetings or at work (where, unfortunately, stinky roses or Malle's sweaty oranges just won't cut it). If you try it only once in a store, I don't think it will be enough. Give it three or four full wearings and I think you can "warm up" to Himalaya.

This one has been my number one for quite some time. It is ranked in top four of all time.

When you have four favourite scents like that, it is very hard to say which one is the best, or which one is better than the other. They are all unique and they should all be treated the same, and your mood of the moment is going to decide which one will go on your skin that day.

Since all of these are Millesimes and have up to 80% of natural ingredients as compared to 6% (Chanel, YSL etc.) you can start to appreciate it like a good wine.

Keep it away from light and in room temperature or slightly below at all times.

Creed, depending of the harvest year can vary in a hue of the scent from year to year.

It is too light if new and kept for less than a year. As it gets older it matures, and each note can evolve a tad different or stronger but never start to deteriorate like most of synthetic fragrances out there.

However, every cologne is different, you may keep Selectio Verte in your closet for a 100 years and detect no change except in strenght and after 100 years it may in fact begin to deteriorate.
You can have Himalaya be good only for 15-25 years for it to reach its prime and after which slowly start to deteriorate. Maybe that is why it is placed in a silver, light resistant bottle.

They are all different, just like women from different countries that age at different rate when compared to American.

Himalaya has the best opening of all, together with Royal Water; except that Royal Water starts to sink into feminine realm too much right after the opening.

Himalaya has that creamy, musky scent that I do not enjoy wearing on dates or in the summer. It's sort of Mr. untouchable type and only good for business meeting or something formal; it is even good for everyday wear provided its not hot summer day or a date.

For dates I would use Selection Verte or Feuille Verte.

Himalaya also has that peppery scent to it right after some 30 min of use that makes is an all time classic.

It does, however, take some time to get used to it especially after you swich from gaudy synthetic brands.
Don't make a mistake and misjudge it.

My experience is similar to that of other reviewers', in that I actively disliked Himalaya the first time I tried it (though I got more than a couple compliments on it). Now, hoever, I consider it the best Creed has to offer. This is the quintessential blizzard frag. It has a frosty, mountainous quality. It's crispness imparts a kind of remote, pristine feel, making Himalaya one of the best-named fragrances on the market. The iciness, while it evokes a winter morning, is also the perfect antidote to a blistering hot day, so long as its worn lightly. I typically don't much like Creed, due to the ambergris house-note, but here it harmonizes so well with the pepper that I adore it.

Another great one for a cool fall or winter day. This one has an immediate positive impact on the people around you. Great sillage and lasts a long time. The pepper balances the fruit and woods in this. Very masculine - but smells good on women too. My wife sneaks into my collection and wears this sometimes. When she does, it takes on an entirely different character. If you are a creed fan, you must have this one in your collection.

A very pleasant Creed with a more modern side. I could still smell it, albeit faintly, after 24 hours, so longevity is excellent for me.

Clean and crisp done right. Creed quality through and through but I wished it lasted longer.

Great, fresh, rich, not too sweet. Easy to wear any time. But after about one hour there's not much left.

This is a great scent, I got multiple compliments the first night I wore it. I found it unusual that the complimenters they said it was a very masculine scent, as this one is branded Unisex.

I can see the similarities b/t this and the XS, but I think I would purchase this scent over the XS, as this scent has much longer staying power compared to the XS.

I found this scent to be fairly weak in strength (maybe an older bottle) but it sure stuck for a long time.

I'd definitely pick it up again.

Good sillage but only average longevity considering the price. Superb blend though and great balance. Clearly a well made fragrance and highly exclusive. Can't imagine too many people not liking this for the fragrance itself. Can however imagine many will be put off by the price tag which is twice as big as most others. A modern Creed though and wallet providing, a solid purchase.

and other goodies all too complex to sift out in the sniff - but really sets well
and has fairly good lasting power.

Reminiscent XS de Paco Rabanne but Himalaya is sophisticate. the top notes in Himalaya is icy, peppery & cool.
Himalaya is forever summer scent for me.

The opening notes are pretty sharp, yet still sweet enough to be tolerable. What I really like is the dusty, woodsy, peppery drydown. As a scent of contrasts this one works really well and has gained my respect the more I wear it. It also makes sense naming it "Himalaya," if one considers the contrasts of that region. On me it projects fairly well, and lasts a long time. I get a full day out of it (but then again I have not had the longevity issues with the Creed millesimes the way many seem to). Definitely a grower scent. Give it some time.

I must admit that I hated this fragrance at first when I sampled it and I thought it was a huge mistake to let the sales assistant spray some of it on my skin, but as I wandered on and let it settle and checked back later just to reconfirm that I disliked it, I was completely astonished by how much it has changed on my skin in the meantime and how pleasant it has become. I find that this is the case with most Creeds anyway. You really need to try them on your skin and let them settle to observe what a drastic change the fragrances go through. Overall, I think Himalaya is a very light, slightly peppery fragrance that has some dominant tea notes in it, which can be worn at any time of the day and in any season. Probably summer would be the season of choice for most people, given its light aura, but make no mistake, it's extremely long-lasting. I really don't understand how some people find that it fades away quickly, as on my skin it stays on from morning until late at night and I can't even detect a fade of potency after many hours of wear. It's quite distinctive and connoisseurs would immediately recognise what you're wearing, especially given that it has that certain Creed house note in it.

Very nice creed, but like others have stated it does smell ALOT like XS. Himalaya opens with a powdery citrus you can smell the grape fruit alot, and the dry down settles to the Creed house notes and gets richer but the citrus is always present. The only thing I don't like about Himalaya is the Powedery smell which is always present.

Once out of its platinum colored bottle, top notes of icy, cool mandarin and grapefruit announce an almost arctic beginning that, as some have noted, is as refreshing as Tibetan mountain snow. Be foretold, though; you've only begun to appreciate Himalaya's surprises! Within a couple of hours of your first breath of Himalaya, you will begin to experience mid and base notes of pepper, musk of Tonka, cedar and sandalwood. From these slowly evolving lower notes comes Himalaya's true character and astonishing power. The dry down sparkles throughout with its original iciness but, almost imperceptibly, a warmer depth evolves. My final, unqualified judgment is that Creed has given those fortunate enough to own and wear it, a new classic that is as much sensuous magic as it is a spiritual experience. Although the price is really “Himlalyan” high, it’s truly worth buying and using for the ladies to climb all over you.

At first I didn't care for it, but now I think it's great. It just sparkles. I don't know beans about notes or drydown or sillage (what the heck IS sillage?) but I do like this scent - now. Ebay has decants at low prices, so if you're curious about Himalaya, that's the place to go.

Have worn this 4 times now. This one took me no time to acquire a taste to. Wonderful, agreeable scent to the wearer and most around him. Love this one from the first wear.

Himalaya is a great fragrance for anyone at anytime. It's light and clean enough to be worn in the summer, but in no way smells synthetic. It's easy to wear and highly unoffensive. In spite of these clean qualities it has a subtle allure to it that is just inspiring. It's only drawback for me was that it was somewhat short lived on my skin.

I don't care what other say, I still think this smells a lot like Paco XS. Sure it is more refined, but I find the drydown a bit too peppery for my tastes. It's a really nice formal scent nonetheless. It draws attention and has sillage like many Creed scents do. What I like best is that it is both 'hot' and 'cold'. It starts out with a fresh citrus note and then dries down to a warm and woody pepper note. Longevity is pretty good for a Creed, especially on clothes. It's an easy scent to wear and many people like it.

I now love Himalaya.....it took four or five wearings but this one has grew on me like no other scent has---and I didn't like it at all the first few times I wore it. The most versatile scent that I own and the powdery smell I noted in the first comment has somehow disappeared.

Nice fragrance - BUT it is an exact copy of XS by Paco Rabanne which came out in 1993 or 1994. PacoR should look into copyright laws if there is such a thing for fragrances.

An incredible exotic adventure in a fragrance, opening memories of past exotic getaways, of monks chanting from an unreachable temple in the morning echoing off the cold mountains, jungle greenery, spice markets, warm sundried beaches, and tropical wild flowers...

Excellent balance from the start, between a fresh aquatic tone and sweet tropical fruits, evolving into a perfectly subtle hint every once in a while during the day of spices and mountain air.

As exotic adventures would not be such if done every day, this is meant to be used wisely.

I didn't know what to expect from a scent called Himalaya...I still didn't understand what it meant when it was described as a scent that captures the cool freshness of the Himalayas and further evokes an inner calm to the wearer. When I finally tested it, I was instantly surprised by the fresh citrus opening notes, followed by a brief emergence of what smelled like a soapy lavender note, and then become a warm and sunny scent, so happy, carefree, and pure! And finally, a sweet incense-y sandalwood note that touches the inner spirit and transcends you to the cloudy heights of the Himalayas and just beyond. Creed seems to bring out the fullest expression in fragrance, yet keeps the composition relatively simple and uncomplicated. That is where my respect lies with this house.

Excellent fragrance! Comes off rather unimpressive at first, but given a few minutes the scent gets intensely distinctive. I've had overwhelmingly positive complements when wearing this fragrance, with the majority of people pointing out they've never smelt anything "quite like it before". I was even complimented by a mall perfume salesman when he noticed I was wearing this Creed fragrance...He looked shocked to notice it on a 22 year old, hehe.

I could not live without Himalaya. Its scent conveys sophistication and adventure, luxury and power. I wear it before my biggest meetings and when I need to make a most excellent impression on others. I recommend it highly.

This is the best in my collection. I'll never go back to the store brands having smelled the class in a bottle that Creed brings to the table. I have kept my Armani and a couple of Chanel and Ralph Lauren selections for everyday use, but when it is time to impress, I pull out the Creed Himalaya!

I really like Himalaya. It is strong yet in a sophisticated way. Great staying power. Scent begins to fade on me after 10-12 hrs.

Great bottle and classic Creed "grower" scent. You realize it´s grandeur a little more with every wear. A subtle woodsy citrus that keeps on giving.

Opens with a disappointingly generic bouquet of fresh citrus notes - a scent which persists throughout the long life of this fragrance. After a while a more exotic incense note filters through but Himalaya simply doesn't do enough to be more than just an upmarket version of any number of standard men's scents.
A good while into the fragrance's lifespan, however, the incense gives way to a very pleasant amber base note, which ends Himalaya on a sophisticated plus - and putting it into thumbs-up territory for me.

Clean, professional yet seductive. The only all-occasion scent I know of.

This Himalaya is absolutely stunning. Of the hundred or so fragrances I've tried this past year, this is definitely on of the most enjoyable and compelling ever. Himalaya is the first Creed that I've ever wanted at any price.
The only thing I will add to the excellent reviews here is my wholehearted recommendation that you try this.
Himalaya is very contemporary, complex, and just gets better and better.

A unique a stunning fragrance, I'm finding it positively addictive! A truly sublime harmonization of sparkle (citrus), bite (pepper), and warmth (cedar, musk). A real triumph for the house of Creed!

For nearly 250 years, the House of Creed has furnished heads of state, monarchs and celebrities with original fragrances called "millesimes." A millesime is a fragrance made with a higher content of hand-pressed, essential oils than cologne or eau de toilette. In 2002, Creed launched its first original scent of the new millenium called Himalaya. In 2003, Himalaya became available through very limited distribution in the United States. First, I don't know of a more reputable or trustworthy purveyor of Creed Fragrances than Pam Atchison, proprietor, Hampton Court Essential Luxuries, Santa Rosa, California. Pam supplied me with Himalaya in May of 2003 and I chose not to share my assessment of it until July. Once out of its platinum colored bottle, top notes of icy, cool mandarin and grapefruit announce an almost arctic beginning that, as some have noted, is as refreshing as Tibetan mountain snow. Be foretold, though; you've only begun to appreciate Himalaya's surprises! Within a couple of hours of your first breath of Himalaya, you will begin to experience mid- and base notes of pepper, musk of Tonka, cedar and sandalwood. From these slowly evolving lower notes comes Himalaya's true character and astonishing power. The dry down sparkles throughout with its original iciness but, almost imperceptibly, a warmer depth evolves. My final, unqualified judgment is that Creed has given those fortunate enough to own and wear it, a new classic that is as much sensuous magic as it is a spiritual experience. I am wholeheartedly smitten!
