Something is very wrong here. I dont know what is it.....some fluid smell like medicine. Yuck!
That awful smell is M7, so strong, so sweet as well......a big mistake of a big brand. I really dont understand why YSL did an hospital fragance. Reasons? I really dont know, but I never will buy this.
Next please.

A spicy and oddly minty scent. The agarwood really, really repulses me in this one. Really sick tenacious opening. It claws at you. Though has a comforting woody drydown but the overall experience is a little foul. Reminds me of hospitals and I hate hospitals.

Really? I was expecting such good things from this fragrance based upon reviews from this site. Just goes to show me that everyone's tastes are different. SAMPLE THIS ONE BEFORE YOU BUY IT...

M7 smells exactly like my Great Grandma used to smell. This might sound cliche but it's true, whatever fragrance she wore bore a striking resemblance to this one. The easiest way that I can describe the smell is that of flat root beer with some powdered sugar thrown on top, along with some sweet-smelling sawdust. Goes on strong, amazing sillage and longevity. I don't get the "super masculine" description that some have given it, to me it smells like it could easily be worn on a woman (see my earlier "grandma" comment), just too sweet (almost sickly sweet) for a "I am man, hear me roar" type fragrance. Might smell better on older men than me, but it doesn't work for this 27-year old. Kudos to those of you who wear this and like this, but it just isn't my thing. Again, try before you buy!!!

After trying various Montales and pure oud oils, I can confidently say that this is in no way a decent oud fragrance – it’s just too synthetic and rancid beyond belief.

I can see some of the merits on this one, but it's way too thick, leathery and quite sickly for me. Not a pleasing one to wear, and I have tried wearing it. I felt quite suffocated by it.

Ahh, it brings back such good memories of the summertime.. Mmmm. Being at the pool with my friends, doing cannonball dives off the diving board. The unpleasant smell of chlorine left on your skin...

That is exactly what it smells like, pool water. If you want to smell like this bathe in a bathtub full of chlorine and dry yourself off, not rinse! Dry.. with a beach towel. Then you're sure to seduce a mermaid or something...

I hate this fragrance. It smells like some sick type of medicine. Yuck.

I like this at first, warm, woody, spicey, powdery - but after a while, all I notice is this fake candy-like smell...Its like cling film is covering this fragrance...making it smell shallow and stuffy...

I can't get over that after having worn it these last two years...Sorry, if I had reviewed this even 6 months ago, my opinion would be different...but I can't escape it, so thumbs down...Furthermore I think it smells like a decaying Chritmans tree, still covered in plastic covered ginger-bread men and chocolate with nuts in it...

And its not just on me - my dad, both of my brothers, my sister's boyfriend and two close friends of mine wear this, and I can smell what I described above on them, and even my brothers and dad are starting to get it too.

Tried this one from a sample and then on my wrists for about 3 hours. I smelled a heavy incense smell right off the bat, offensive IMHO. Very musky and strong and reminds me of church incense.

It's probably me, and it concerns both YSL and Chanel fragrance. At first they smells quite unique, makes you want to dig in to them, but when you do, well, there's nothing there. And where that horrible synthetic feeling comes from?
To be exact, I wouldn't find them terrible, if only I could get rid of that (sorry for being obscure) "sense of lack". Otherwise they would be really nice perfumes, but then again, nothing special.

This scent attacks your nose and numbs it. Targeted towards the older man. To me it smells like someones "trying too hard".

I picked up a tester of this, and thank god I did that before I purchased a bottle of M7. I guess I can't quite get around the harsh synthetic nature of the scent. To me it reminds me of one of those fragrances you get at a Car Wash when you are vacuuming out your car and have the option to spray fragrance into the carpet.

Now its not a completely bad scent, but wow, it made 2 different girls I let smell it nauseous and I actually took a shower to get the scent off me.

This is definitely a "try before you buy" fragrance, and quite frankly I don't anticipate myself ever buying this scent. I have trouble imagining women enjoy this scent as well.

I got M7 on a total whim. Big mistake. It was very, very heavy and cloying on me - I felt like I had this M7 aura visible around me. Very cool bottle, however, but I pitched it.

I'm starting to wonder whether everyone's love affair with this (and Rive Gauche pH, for that matter) is just an extension of the world's love affair with Tom Ford? There is something medicinal about it, and it's heady (dizzying) without being particularly rich or deep. Mothballs?

The worst scent I have ever smelled. I didn't beleive someone can make such a bad scent and people may use it. Bug sprays smell better than this.

I bought this one based on all the recommendations on this site and all I have to say is YUCK! This stuff is identical to a perfume my great grandmother used to wear when I was little. No more blind buys for me.

Imagine telling someone you must have good taste in order to like this. I have good taste and I don't like this fragrance. Differences make the world go around. If I was given it as a gift I'd return it to the store. It does absolutely nothing for me, even with those agarwood notes. Stu

Another disappointment from the YSL/Tom Ford era.
Smells like OPIUM (YSL) without spices or like JUNGLE (Kenzo) without complexity.
The packaging & the bottle’s design is boring (sorry, i mean minimalist) but the worst is the advertising. After a naked woman (opium), a naked menage-a-trois (paris), here comes a naked man for M7. What a creativity isn’t?.
Hard to find, seems to be discontinued.

I got a sample of this last week and have been testing it. I think it is a good fragrance and certainly a refreshing shift in fragrance trends - if it does become a trend, that is. However, I can't see what all the excitment is about. I find the agarwood rather subdued. If one wanted a real agarwood fragrance, the way to go is Madini: Agarwood, Oud or Bouquet. I have been using the Bouquet for about a week and the heady, intense fragrant mix of agarwood and woody-spices is intoxicating. The Oud is a little more of a conventional mixture while the Agarwood is - as one would imagine - the pure, almost medicinal scent, strong and very woody. There are also the fragrances from Swiss-Arabian but all the ones that I have tried have such an overwhelming mixture of sweet, sweet florals - mainly roses - and oriental notes that the the aroma is quite nauseating. I find M7 reminds me of Opium Pour Homme but the spices have been replaced by woods.
Then, too, I am pretty jaded when it comes to Oriental scents since that is what I normally wear and have worn for the last thirty years.
I think that the ads that I have seen in the European magazines are audacious - to say that least - but Idon't think that North America is ready - or willing -to have a scent sold by a guy showing his genitals.
