Reviews of Montana Green

A classic (90's in style) herbal fougere with a sort of bitter-licorice/tobacco undertone and a citrus/grapefruit "fizziness" throughout. Yes Montana Green is somewhat conventional (conjuring slightly Trussardi Action Uomo in style) and almost uninspired but is anyway a solid green take on the aromatic fougere theme with straightforward green patterns, galbanum, musk and woods. I detect a first blast of artemisia, probably peppermint and lavender supported by neroli, bergamot and grapefruit at the beginning all evolving, across a floral aromatic middle phase, towards a conventional oakmoss/galbanum/ambergris/cedarwood dry down. I suppose a touch of tonka plus bitter herbs are responsible about that sort of tobacco/licorice spark while the fruity/citric vibe retains its run till the end. Powerful and versatile.

I don’t think it that bad even when it’s not especially exciting. It doesn’t smell cheaper to me than most of the perfumes in this world.

Semi-sweet green soapy fougere with touch of warmth and tobacco leaf-like bitter-sweet crispiness. Very aromatic.

I recommend this for those who are looking for a green aromatic fougere scent and want it to be everything but in common use. You know, this is not that different to many other soapy fougeres, but at least it’s not popular. And it can be found in fair price from the online.

The presentation of this scent (bottle, casket) is truly wonderful.

Indeed.
The ingredients list is impressive, but in fact, it smells flat, cheap and boring.

If they just spent half the time and money on the fragrance that they invested in the bottle design...
This is just another of those soapy-clean-showergel (and synthetic)-smelling industry clones with a designer-name slapped on the bottle. Where are the promising ingredients?
Italian bergamot, French lavender, bay, green mint, coriander; cinnamon bark, geranium, clove; Patchouli, Sandalwood, Musk. All I can perceive is that standardized INCI-declaration "fragrance" smell. Be warned: your eyes will enjoy the slick bottle, but your nose will be boooored.
