Reviews of Amber| John.com United StatesShow all reviews | Ordered and received the 25 ml bottle recently. Great to have this option. They're a small perfumery in Gloucestershire England with minimal staff (family run). From what I've gleaned from the web site, John Stephen is the sole "nose" of the outfit, and a very accomplished one with quite a resume. I'd love to visit the establishment some fine day, very charming. They run tours, classes the whole enchilada. Back to the best Amber scent to come across these nostrils yet. Not that I'm the unapproachable authority on Amber, but this is a non-cloying, long lasting blend of amber (of course), woods and light spice. The amber is omnipresent throughout the developement. It does not change drastically during the process and this is not a negative attribute. It mellows slightly, gets comfortable and rests happily. Very addicting, warm and very suitable for autumn/winter seasons (good timing). I'll be "deploying" it often.... The Oberon looks very tantalizing as well. 10th September, 2003. |
