I cannot say enough good things about this fragrance! I absolutely love it! This is the type of fragrance I consider 'easy wear'. That is because one can put it on and not have to worry at all about its performance. I spend enough time worrying about putting on too much cologne; I hate it when I have to spend an additional amount of time trying to figure out whether or not a fragrance has sillage or longevity. I just want to be able to put something on and know I'm smelling good: PERIOD! Aside from that, this fragrance is not that unique. It does smell similar to Le Male, but I would actually associate it more closely with 212 Sexy for Men (which has also been compared to Le Male often). The unifying notes between the three fragrances seems be the combination of mint and lavender (or some other herbal component) that comes off smelling floral & fresh in the same whiff. Well, 212 Sexy contains a spicy, body odor-like smell which many are put off by. This is due to the cardamom, also found in Jacamo Rouge, but here it is executed much better resulting in a fresh yet spicy aura. Finally, there is a vanilla and mocha component to this fragrance which makes it somewhat gourmand in nature, but not nearly as food-like as A*men or Animale Animale. This is a great fragrance that can be worn day or night. If you like 212 Sexy but find it somewhat off-putting in the top notes or just too expensive in general, please give this a try as it is well done and only $15 for a 100ml! 09 November 2009

Once in a long while there comes a fragrance which makes me question the wisdom of paying top dollar for niche or luxury scents made from supposedly high quality ingredients (read: highly quality profit margins). JACOMO DE JACOMO ROUGE is one of those. Priced to match any drugstore release but performs more like a virtuoso, with notes that are beguilingly sweet, smoky yet sensual - it leaves many designer scents red-faced. So don't act surprised if a woman starts complimenting you on your scent. It certainly happened to me. 27 October 2009

Love this frag. Women are always telling me how great it smells on me. This is Givenchy meeting up with A*Men at a Phish concert. Not as harsh or cloying at the classic Jacomo. Affordable to every man out there. The vanilla, tonka, and musk mixed together for the bottom notes, mmm. If you like this one, check out Ice* Men, another scent that people barely know about and it's subtle and sweet and got that kick. 19 March 2009

Jacomo Rouge: count me in as a *BIG* Fan of Jacomo Rouge...i dont see any link between JR and Body Kouros though..(i own both). also, BK is incredibly linear and quite potent...which makes it kinda boring in the end as it just wouldnt wear off(it still would garner compliments...but on the wearer..it gets tiring). JR on the other hand opens with such a fantastic blend of deep spices with a heart of powdery floral and woody notes on a bed of Tonka beans and vanilla pods...the powdey nature of it is indeed seductive.....and very few scents..and i mean very few, smell this complex and wonderful close to skin...it almost has a bite to it's overall powderyness....if there is any scent i wud compare it to, it would be a cross between le male and shiseido basala... a drugstore sleeper. 06 February 2009

This one is a fragrance aficionado's lesson all by itself. This was one of the first fragrances I bought for my growing hobby. I tried to get several that were different. At first I really liked the top notes, but then could hardly smell anything. As my sense of smell became more refined, I found the middle/base notes to be a bit synthetic or just strange in some incomprehensible way. Then, a couple of months after not wearing it, I tried it again and the incense mix was obvious to me and very pleasant. I try to avoid the top notes of this fragrance to avoid having my sense of smell calibrated to them, which may be why some have said that this is all top notes and nothing else. For the price, it's an incredible bargain. I enjoy it much more than any of the super-expensive incense fragrances I've sampled. It may not be for the "newbie," however, unless he is willing to have patience with it, as his sense of smell becomes more refined. 28 August 2008
