Uhmm You smell like candy! is what my son said. Love this Berris and musk - who would have thought it would smell this good together.

Smells exactly like it says on the tin. A nice potent blackberry/raspberry combination on soft musk.

Extreme?! Hmmm, I really don't think so...

For the first couple of hours, Mûre et Musc Extrême was pretty prominent on my skin. However, after that, what remained wasn’t what I would call a skin scent. No matter, as I was a bit concerned about walking around in public smelling like a blackberry pie...

Berries and clean musc. Who would have thought?

L'Artisan have created in Mure et Musc Extreme a fragrance that offers the most natural fruity accords. Truly unique in that the berries here aren't sweet or gourmand; instead they are zesty and crisp.

Ideal for daytime occasions,or the office. Longevity is about 4 hours which is OK as I like to wear something else in the afternoon.

This smells very similar to a few other women's fragrances out there. Its the same as when a girl passes you and you can smell the peach/fruit perfume from ten feet away. Not, by any means, a bad fragrance.
In fact, I would probably consider it the finest of these "peach/fruit" perfumes (even though this doesn't contain any peach). With that being said, this isn't really suitable for a man. Easy thumbs up.

A funful fruity mishmash that smells very similar to Fructis hairspray, gel, wax etc. It`s unbelievably similar, only in warmer and richer version, off course.

I have always loved the smell of those Fructis products, so it`s not hard for me to enjoy this one too.
I get assorted collection of fruits ; mainly blackberries naturally, but also blackcurrants, apples, kiwis and some citruses.
The base is warm, slightly animalic musk. More suitable for women.

If you don't like Mure et Musc, it makes sense to not try the Extreme, otherwise you'll be tempted to write a duplicate bad review referencing your original poor review. And that would just be totally absurd.

I digress. L'Artisan continues to challenge and defy my normal fragrance preferences. I'm generally not at all fond of fruity fragrances, but I like this! Perhaps it's because the berry notes are not sweet, but sparkly - as though you were sniffing berry flavored soda water (Polar brand, if you know it). This berry, in confluence with the musky and powdery base, creates a unique fragrance that you just can't help but like. I'll admit I was indifferent at first, but just a couple repeat wears allowed me to see the simple happiness of MeM Extreme.

As I sample more L'Artisan fragrances I'm finding that some of their most simply constructed scents are the best. It's counterintuitive that it should take a more trained nose to recognize the quality inherent in simplicity.

Now, I am usually not a very big fan of berry scents, but this phenomenal. An absolute gem.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Since this is simply the same as Mure et Musc only EXTREME, read my review of Mure et Musc only just imagine it in all capital letters.

After poking around to find notes, I found this from OsMoz:
Cassis buds, Mulberry, Musc

and from LuckyScent:
Blackberry, Musc, Citrus

This almost had me when I first tried it...loved the Berry mixed with musc...very soft and enticing. But over time, it read more and more manly, especially when the berry disappeared and the musc took over. Even up front I would have labeled this unisex, but it became too much very quickly. I was embarrassed to be caught wearing it (even though I just went to the barn to ride my smelly horse.) On a man though, I think I'd find this irresistible.

After coveting it for 5 months, I finally bought Mure et Musc Extreme by L'Artisan. This is a fragrance I can really LIVE in. It's not a special occasions or specific season scent. It's not something that gives me a headache on alternate days. It's not too fruity, despite its name, or too musky! It's very breathable, and when I wear it, it lasts and lasts, but I cannot find the source of the luscious scent. I can't say, "Ah hah! THIS is where I sprayed it. This is where it's coming from." Instead, it enters my blood stream (I must assume) and wraps around me like an aura.

Who would ever have thought that I'd choose a blackberry and musk combo? I never would have thought it, not in a million years.

Warm and sweet w/o being girly; extremely pleasant drydown; top-notch longevity and very good sillage.

One of my favorite L'Artisans.

More potent than the original, it's true, but also seeming different in its composition. Whereas the berry-musk accord in Mure et Musc is perfectly balanced, here things tilt decisively toward the sweet fruit. As a result, it loses much of Mure et Musc's miraculous poise.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" never was more apt.

I went to L'Artisan's soho boutique to purchase a full bottle of VDR (which I did).. the very kind SA suggested I try this one as well. Instantly, I fell in love. The blackberry note is not shy at all. It is bold and daring. There is also something slightly peppery and soapy going on in here which I think could be the "musc"(?). Not sure, but I know I liked this so much that I also bought the perfumed body lotion and the bath and shower gel.
I was in a wedding just last weekend (10/14/06) here in New England. I wore this layered on top of the bath and shower gel and body lotion. At the reception, people literatly begged me to walk past them just so they could once again, get a whiff of my sillage. (I'm NOT exaggerating) All the women I danced with buried their noses into my neck complimenting me on my fragrance (I have various lipstick and foundation marks on the collar of my shirt to prove it). A day later, my suit, shirt, and tie... my closet(!) smells lightly scented of Mure et Musc Extreme.

As a unisex scent, I can see how most guys would be put off by how sweet this is. I almost questioned whether or not I could wear this one myself..(and I consider my wardrobe one that defies convention), but after subsequent wearings, I find that this fragrance not only speaks to me... but others as well. I don't think I've ever received so much attention from so many women in one night in my life. I loved it! lol
Highly recommended!

eau de mildred pierce/maria callendar (sic)

"are you packin' a blackberry pie or are you just happy to see me?"

could be really nice with my purple velvet pants which I never wear, so now I have a compelling reason to wear them this winter.

I didn't use much and it lasted and lasts even the next day. A full dose should keep you berry happy for quite some time!!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Mûre et Musc Extrême is a beautiful, warm, sexy musk with just a touch of blackberry. This is perfect for cool weather and cuddling. I love this even more than Mûre et Musc!

It is the same with this as with Premier Figue. It doesnt really suit my personality or my skin chemistry. But it is not in anyway bad. It just isnt me.

I give Mure et Musc Extreme thumbs-up, but barely thumbs-up. Not really a thumbs-up for me, as much as it is a thumbs-up for my girlfriend. I bought it for myself, but basically ended up giving this one to her. The blackberry note dominates the scent on me. The musk is a clean, sweet musk, not a dirty, animalic musk like MKK. Combine the blackberry and the sweet musk, and MeMe is too sweet for my tastes. That said, I very much like the way it smells on my girlfriend. While sweet, it doesn't smell cheap or childish at all. It does have good lasting power, especially considering the house.

Mure et Musc Extreme is probably my favorite L'Artisan so far. I'm not a very big fan of many of the L'Artisan fragrances I've sampled thus far. Tho, this one is unusual. When first applied to my skin it smells like: a bit of camphor, spices and flowers with a kind of masculine aftershave quality bergamot. In around 10 minutes it sweetens up a little bit and at that point it reminds me of Merlot. This has to be the longest lasting L'Artisan; around 2 hours on my skin anyway. Tho, this is interesting and enjoyable I don't find it bottleworthy.

I tried to like this one. Wore it over and over trying to convince myself that I liked this. I like the Trish McEvoy Blackberry Vanilla Musk, but find it to be too sweet. But this one smells like breath mints, altoids to be exact. What is that? Its blackberry but very masculine.

I love MeME. The original Mure et Musc is softer, and the citrus is much more dominant. MeME is a bit harsher and even a little acerbic in the first fifteen minutes, but it dries down quite a bit deeper and richer than Mure et Musc. The berry note is also much stronger. I like it a lot, and it lasts for days. It’s great for summer and casual wear.

L'Artisan is known for some more interesting/unique scents and this one does the house proud. It's sweet with Blackberries and Musk as the dominant notes. Since this is an EDP it has unbelievable lasting power. It was still strongly detectable after sleeping and applying 12 hours prior. This scent is beautiful. Expensive, but absolutely worth every penny.
