I've had this for about a year now and at first, I was very indifferent toward this scent. I also do not care for musk that much, so this didn't get many wearings.

I have periodically sample-worn it however and admit to liking it better each time I apply it. It is sort of growing on me. I have never tried the Bvlgari mentioned by others, so I cannot compare the 2.

I am a little confused over the above-listed accords since what I'm smelling doesn't exactly match up to the notes. This smells a bit more crowded than 4 notes and the ginger foetidus mentions isn't clear-cut to me.

Regardless of what exactly composes Indigo, this is a pretty good frag with nice sillage for a half hour or so, then quiets down to a skin scent of soft vanilla. Nice juice for the $$$.

I have to fly in the face of positive reviews and opine that I find the opening bergamot-laced-ginger (or maybe the other way around?) much too strong. The drydown is decent but short-lived. Just can't get over the unrefined opening note, though. It's like burying your nose into a jar of ground ginger.

Good lord yes, this is so similar to Blu Notte pour Homme. It's more citrusy than it but it's definitely the same texture. That smooth yet dark velvety texture. Too bad the fabric is thin and wears down fast but it's not as yucky as Notte's airiness. Very linear scent with slight deviations from the citrus to musk drydown.

Foetidus is right about the similarity, although I think it is closer to Blu Notte than the regular Blu. I do not like Blu Notte and I think Blu is OK...both are too baby powdery for me. Not bad for the price, but not a great scent IMO.

Everything that foetidus said below -- PERFECT analysis there!

Indigo is similar to Bvlgari Blv, and I think it is actually better because it is not so cloying. Indigo, like Bvlgari Blv, is very powdery and has a prominent ginger note over a fresh, sweet, vanilla base. It is nicely blended and has a quite strong sillage. It appears not to last long, but I believe this is just appearance due to olfactory fatigue because of the strong ginger note. The price of Bvlgari Blv has gone down since I bought it, but, even so, I would recommend the much less expensive 273 Indigo over Bvlgari Blv because Indigo is more refined and wearable IMO.

What a wonderfully smooth scent! It is unlike the original 273, with a subtle, lavender powdery quality that points to the sensitive side of a man. And it's easy to get gift sets of this one for dirt cheap (e.g. Perfumania).

I was always a fan of 273 so when I received some samples of 273 Indigo, I thought.." Another "Blue" Fragrance"! How wrong I was! 273 Indigo is a very comfortable, warm and sexy scent! Bergamot blossom opens this very uncomplicated fragrance, leading to a very smooth vetiver heart. The smooth musky basenote really makes this fragrance linger! Its fresh, sexy and warm... and very easy to like. I wouldn't call this a "groundbreaking" fragrance, just a very nice and easy scent, that can be worn at anytime, and any season! With so many common "Blue" titled fragrances out there, 273 "Indigo" stands on its own!
