At least by producing such ordinary stuff like Echo, Davidoff are making Zino and Cool Water look like masterpieces. The fruity and aquatic pretensions are evident from the first inhalation, but it recedes quickly into a procession of faux modern accords that resemble the air one might find inside a new training shoe sole, or a tennis ball. Echo is quite long lived, with a moderate presence, but the fragance itself is an exercise in banality.

The design of the bottle calls for a much higher quality brew than you're actually getting here. Echo smells like many other fresh, sporty scents such as Calvin Klein's Crave or Curve Crush. Highly unoriginal. Not unpleasant, though, just not recommended for anyone who appreciates a well-crafted scent like Versace L'Homme. This can be worn as a casual scent for someone who doesn't want to stand out - just wants to smell clean.
Don't expect too much else.

a bit boring but very clean and safe fragrance. i dont know why but women tend to love this one. it smells like the sum of a grapefruit crust and white, plain soap. i like echo but still prefer azzaro chrome in that manner.

Echo was meant to smell synthetic, crisp, and fresh with its light ozonic metallic sweetness. Well, that's what you get.

When I think of Echo, I think of the city. A very "urban" scent indeed. Kudos to Mr. Rashim for the bottle design though.

I'll just admit it - I like this. Always have. Nothing makes me feel as clean and sharp as when coming from the gym, taking a long bath, putting on some white line clothes and spraying a few sprizzes of Echo on. I do however see why people dislike it because of its synthetic smell.

I could imagine the characters in the movie The Island-wearing this.

Smells light sweet and synthetic as it doesn't reflect any nature's scent. Can be sickening if over applied during hot summer. Sillage is ok (not too strong and not too personal). Longevity is great on me as I could detect it even after 5 hours. But it can turns yucky if sprayed on fabric. I just don't like the bottom notes as it can be quite sickening. Great for daytime, any occasion except evening and dinner. Love the bottle. Very organic influenced. Get the 30ml bottle as it is more organic.

This is a bit of a disappointment, I bought this anticipating it would remind me of the "city". Well, it did but not in the way I had hoped. It reminded me how every man down town looks the same, same suit style, same eager demeanor to get to the office in order to get to their next meeting.

This is nothing extraordinary, a regular fresh scent struggling in he world of a lot better fresh scents. No more no less. On top of that it resembles Chrome... Very plain.

But it is not a bad fragrance, just not a good one.

"Echo" will appeal to those wanting freshness and a sense of crisp cleaness.
The downside: there is a note at the heart that is so overtly synthetic that at times I find it completely intolerable. Whatever this accord, it has the same noxious quality as cheap plastic items manufactured in the far east whose odour burns the back of the throat when you remove them from their packaging.
Worth a look, but NOT a winner in my book.

Echo surely does smell like a sweeter and more sythentic updated version of Guy Laroche's Horizon (now discontinued) for me!
However, I liked Horizon much much more!

Typical fresh, ozonic scent with a horrible added synthetic metallic note. Doesn't last either. If you want a fresh Davidoff scent try Coolwater and CW Deep. Much better note developments and more natural smelling.

Synthetic yes, may have a limited niche. It reminds me of the sweet smells associated with the upholstery scorched by the sun. It is sweet, synthetic, metalic. The base has a fabric softner aspect to it that is not as distinct as your average oriental but pleasant.

Overall, I could see somebody like this fragrance based on that burnt car seat smell - it reminded me of my first car. The base is nice.

i did liked the smell of this fragance, to be honest i like it more than cool water. But i guess its kind of a desilution that its so artificial specially when the price is like if it was made out of natural things. The duration is good though.

Echo is a rather synthetic fragrance that is meant to be synthetic—I think it is quite attractively urban, and that it actually accomplishes a definite character and presence. The scent is light, metallic, and inoffensive—I don’t get ‘sharp.’ I like it even though it is very similar to a lot of recent fragrances. It’s not a very creative accomplishment, but I don’t have a problem with that because it is fresh, warm, and inviting. It sustains a decent sillage and has average longevity on my skin. The bottle is excellent. One can do a lot worse than this one.

Very fresh and clean smell. A really nice bottle, though pretty expensive for fabric softner.

No better or worse than any of the others of its close knit family. One thing i can say for it is that it is probably the most aptly named cologne out there. You have to admire Davidoff for being candid enough to name it "echo", as the fragrance's effect is to waft "i've smelled this before...smelled this before...smelled this before..." through the air.

I want to like this stuff soo much it hurts. It's definitley very synthetic in nature, but the note descriptions make that pretty clear. The best comparison I can compare this to would be the scent of some fresh dryer sheets I've smelled. It even seems similar to some of the "odor-eliminators" on the market. All of which are infused with synthetic sexless scents. Doesn't sound like something you'd want on your skin does it? Well, the top is pretty sharp and will make your eyes cross if you draw in deeply near the applicaton site. But with a little time, especially on the skin, it mellows out to something much more organic. It is sharp, it is soapy, and it's definitely man-made. But it's not bad either. A fine choice for the uninitiated for daytime or office wear. It's inoffensive, but for all the marketing savvy note descriptions, it lacks that certain something to make it stand out.
