As SirSlarty mentioned, this reminds me of a sweeter, more refined version of something like Brut. I like it and dislike it at the same time. I guess this just isn't for me.

A little Davidoff Goodlife and a little D&G ph...to my nose and on my skin anyway. I happen to like those 2 frags, although I think the D&G is not very elegant and hopelessly ubiquitous. Goodlife can be too sneezy thanks to the heavy citrus. Therefore, Dunhill is an excellent balance of the best of those 2 mentioned.
My favorite notes are the geranium and the tonka bean. They simply work together in harmony. Not a powerhouse scent, but a nice, simple, elegant scent. Not flashy or flamboyant, yet confident and reassuring. And it garners lots of compliments, because it is a 'nice guy' kinda scent.

BTW: if you find Dunhill Pursuit attractive, you should like this. I see Pursuit as a South-Western US extra-urban dweller, while this Dunhill being a NYC city slicker.

This made me a Dunhill fan - to my own detriment, as I love Pursuit, but have not enjoyed Fresh, Pure or Desire. I could describe this as nothing other than business casual. It is a geranium musk, hits of rose and sandalwood, only a hint of sweetness on drydown. The fragrance is so fresh and invigorating that it is a bit of a disappointment that it has rather limited silage and does not last all day. However, it is not in every circumstance that a lovely fragrance needs to last for 10 hours. I would wear this for an evening to the movies - or an evening in, cooking a romantic meal for my wife. It truly stands out as one of my top recommendations.

This one does remind you of some kind of toothpaste or mouthwash, and for that reason I didn't think I would like it at first, but it does grow on you. The drydown is classy and smooth, albeit a bit unusual and unique. Certainly worth a try.

So-so fougere. More like a watered down Brut (how the heck can you do that to an already watered down scent?). Just throw some woody notes into the mix and you get Dunhill. Very weak on my skin. I've had other Dunhill scents last much longer. This one was a downer.

This will and always be my signature scent. No other fragrance has impacted me and my life the way this has. Yea Yea Impacted sounds a little extreme. I've recieved immense amount of compliments with this. The Lemon top note combined with geranium gives off a nice clean fresh feeling but with added depth. As the scent progresses I find the beautifully comprise basenotes kick in and well it just gets incredibly sexy. Definatley a lady killer.

Man this is really nice & laid back but has a nice aura as you walk past the crowd, a headturner indeed.

The ingredients listed above are well balanced and structured, this fragrance is more perfume than cologne and could be worn by both sexes due to it's geranium top, orris mid and sweet base.

This scent fits well with the other men's Dunhills and also sits quite alone as a musky, almost rose-like warming splash for business or leisure wear.

No joke, when you put this fragrance on, it smells just like Cool Mint Listerine! It quickly drys down to a very faint powder and cotton candy smell,(nearly nothing, really) which is fine with me. Although, it stays very close to the skin and does have a fresh and clean smell (lol),I will not be buying Dunhill again.

Great fougere notes start off in this scent, then surprisingly warms up with an amber like quality. Very good I tell ya'! I wonder why I didn't pay attention to this one, it's most likely because of the great disappointment I got from Dunhill Desire. Dunhill is classy, elegant, sensual and warm. The smoky beige color of the juice makes it so inviting.

Tonka Bean. It seems to be everwhere at the moment so I suppose it inevitably affects our perception of fragrances which were released before the onslaught of Tonka Bean fragrances. This note seems to be very strong and has the potential of overpowering. Having said all that I really like this one. It is one of the nicer tonka bean frag's around!

Nothing wrong with it but the original is loads better. It seems like someone put some cucumber in there and then watered it down.

Actually a very pleasant fougere, with lots of lemon and musk behind the scenes. It seems a bit dated to me (and that's a compliment). Some synthetic notes? A few , perhaps. Still, you could spend your money on far worse modern creations. I for one am giving this one a thumbs up.

If you want Dunhill's very best, get the '34 Original or the '84 Edition, true. But this stuff from 2003 is nothing to sneeze at, and is far, far, far superior to many (if not, in fact, most) of its contemporaries.

The tonka bean base gets me - every time! Just LOVE it! At first spritz, was not too sure about this one... it wasn't until about 15 minutes later I kept re-sniffing my test wrist. The more I sniffed, the more I liked this fragrance! In the end I would say it's intriguing. Light. Wears close to the body. I'll definitely ask my husband to try this Dunhill.

I found the first of the top notes to be rather off-putting. It backs off ok, but it retains a slightly strange tinge to it—it feels quite synthetic—which is not necessarily bad, but in this case it’s a bit annoying. I have a difficult time telling where the fragrance is going after the opening—actually, I’m not sure that it is going anywhere. The orris doesn’t come through very much, which is unusual for me because this is one note I usually have no problem detecting. The base notes are very nice but rather ordinary. Most of the notes in this fragrance seem to just melt together in sort of a conglomerate blob. In the end the fragrance smells nice and performs acceptably, but I think it’s generic (albeit, pleasantly), and what isn’t generic is a tad annoying.

Smells like classic cheap aftershaves, nothing new here, just a rework.

An aggreeable scent, kind of like the original version of Canali...this is a good scent to wear to work as it is very subtle, and everybody seems to like it...my one complaint is that it doesnt have any kind of lasting power, must be re applied often...the scent its self is very fresh, not an evening scent, it is what it is; a pleasant walk through the park in the morning, an ice cream cone on a saturday afternoon, deffiantely a simple pleasure...

i agree that it is a bit synthetic, but worn VERY lightly it can be quite elegant, and is certainly an improvement on the other dunhills. I would give it a neutral, but the bottle is really phenomal.

I find that the lemon tends to linger and gives an unusual contrast (a nice tang) to the musk base. I have to admit that contrast did not sit well with me at first. It reminded me of pledge a bit too much. It took two or three wearings to finally become comfortable with this scent. A warm sweet musk emerges that would be best to wear on a cool day or a warmer night. A good fragrance but not one of my favorites, I will actually wear Live Jazz more than this (even though I don't think it's better) because I think it's more unique and I have other musks that I prefer over this. Overall it's good but I would spend my money elsewhere.

I bought a bottle of this two days ago and I absolutely love it. I have seen several negative reviews on here for it and I suppose everyone has there own sense of what smells good and especially what smells good on them, but I really like this. Although there are a few other scents that resemble this one in smell, none I can think of are as good and I don't know a lot of people that wear them. So for the people I know at least this is a fairly unique scent.

The top notes first made me think - fried shrimp! go figure. The sweet, corny, lemony smell was interesting but faded fast, turning into something far less interesting - more like a margarita. Lemony and heavy - I'd pass on this one.

Though I wouldn't rush out to buy this fragrance, I do think it is worth exploring. It is a very warm fragrance with a bit of an austere edge. The dry down is quite sophisticated, and the fragrance skips the sicky sweetness of some of Dunhill's other creations. All in all, a solid addition to the catalogue.

Synthetic D&G PH wannabe. Very dissapointing launch, especially from a brand responsible for great classics like Edition and the more recent Desire.
The whole pyramid is sharp and almost sulphurish and sour, feels like a work of haste. Too bad on a great flacon.

Opens very similarly to Dolce & Gabbana, but quicky develops into a very classy, masculine scent. Strong yet refined, this Dunhill is an excellent gentlemen's fragrance.

Dunhill is the BEST new fragrance I've tried in 2003! It's a solid new scent that's warm and determined. It's fresh and mellow and the dry down is smooth and powdery. It may be the most sophisticated of all the Dunhill fragrances...I think it's definitely the best. The After Shave, Deodorant, and Shampoo are also GREAT. Give this one a try. J. Augustt 12/06/03

It's just "nice-Okay" fragrance. Like Halston Z (of 1998, not Z-14). Quite simple woody fougere like lots of others. Way too uninspired, HUGOBOSSey.
Pleasant and not overpowering though, nice bottle. So, Gentlemen, ain't Dunhill a bottle design company?
