May be in this version are slightly toned down herbs and citrus but the new Basile Uomo smells almost identical to the original one.

I don't like this. This is the only fragrance that I dare say has too much oakmoss in it. The oakmoss and herbal notes overpower any wood or spice notes in this, and together they make this smell like a stagnant pond covered with algae. Or is it a bag of old rotten salad sitting in the fridge for too long?

I can't say this is totally terrible because it's got the heavy green mossy smell I like in so many Eighties fragrances, and it is a bold scent. However, the soggy vegetal smell is too overpowering and prevents me from enjoying this. I also get poor sillage from Basile Uomo, making this a double-whammy loser for my wardrobe.
