Broadway Nite (2003)

One of my favorite Bonds, Broadway Nite is sexy and powerful. I do not smell much of violets and honeysuckle, but there is indeed lots of rose bloom over the cedar and vanilla. This is a brilliant combination, unique and easy recognizable, and it lingers for a very long time, putting you right into Broadway of your life!

What I first got was cheap aldehydes (although I truly don't know if there are cheap aldehydes and expensive aldehydes to begin with; maybe some more experienced BaseNoter could help me with this).

Then it morphs into a soft, feminine, powdery, retro fabulous violetty scent. Not a victorian violet but one a diva from the 1930s would wear.

It smells quite carnal to me and warms up at contact my skin instead of just staying on top.
I agree that it shares a similar quality with Lipstick Rose, only Broadway Nite loves me better.

An acquired taste...a bit like almond cakes...first attempt was a bit unpleasant but after a few tries, they both grew on me...

The first time I tried it, I was not overtly impressed...however, after a few more tries (while running on the treadmill; best place to try a new scent as your body temperature exudes the scent through your pores in the heat of the moment...) I started to admire the beautiful composition of this very unique violet and rose scent...

Now, I reach for it on cold evenings at home when I want to relax and listen to my equally large vinyl collection...ie George Michael, massive attack...

Fantastic stuff...with incredible longevity and sillage...

My experience with this perfume is definitely positive. I had Chinatown before this and I'm the typical person who gets tired of a perfume after 4-5 months (I've given many away to friends and relatives). But this one, no, it is only mine. It is a very personal perfume, to me like a mixture between Bulgari classic and Tresor. I never get tired of it, most of all, I can't live without it! It is sweet and sexy, it has the background smell of the violet leafs (not too predominant for my skin). It is an excellent combination of smells, none of them is really predominant.

This one you MUST try on skin. The jus' scent is rather sharp and probably off putting for some, but on skin it becomes a soft floral.
It's very loud, and lasts for a long time (a bit like poison) so be careful with how much you test the first time ;)

without a doubt THEE WORST fragrance of all time. do give it a try though. just not on your skin, since it is impossible to get rid of.
