Pleasant fragrance which has just that right amount of cumin to it. It`s a borderline case, though. Suprisingly complex and it lasts forever. Semi-gourmand leaning towards feminine side. Arabie is a close cousin (candied dried fruits and spices) is this one is definitely lighter. Has some similaries with Lagerfeld Jako as well, although that one does skip the cumin completely.

Dinner’s served! Very bright sharp citrus / sweet fruit introduction—seems like the whole fruit-candy store is here. The combined notes give off a feeling of energy and fun with its enjoyable gourmand qualities. This fragrance is quite strong in the sillage department—certainly not what I was expecting from a modern fragrance. The heart notes come on strong with all sorts of eatables—spice cakes and fruits. The fragrance loses a little energy as its base notes flow, but retains its gourmandism, and the memory lingers on. Bon appétit!

This *is* a fun scent - so gingerbready, spicy, vivacious. I agree it has a sense of humor. It also has a subtle sexy note, sort of a submerged floral/base note that keeps it from being too 'foody', a problem with most gourmand fragrances for me. They're usually about distinctive food notes offset by equally distinctive woods/earth. This one sort of blends it all together - the spice, fruit, and earth meld together into a spicy, juicy concoction that is spirited, with a bit of joie de vivre. The cumin note some speak of didn't come out as an identifiable note to me, but stayed part of the general spice environment, which is why I probably liked it more. If the cumin had been distinct, I would have liked it less. This is one of my two favorite gourmands at this point, 'Charles Jourdan' being the other. It is a long-lasting fragrance.

Dinner has become one of my most worn scents, partly because it's such a rarity: a sexy scent with a sense of humour! The top notes remind me of Moscow Mule: (vodka,) ginger ale & lime, the heart notes are like spicy (dried or candied) fruit, the base is woody-earthy-animalic. IMO Dinner belongs to the same family as Rochas Femme and SL Arabie but is far less "serious". Great party scent, winter warmer and a compliment magnet!

Dinner by Bobo is such a fun fragrance. I don’t get the reviews some people give about it smelling like “Grease, Cheese, and BO”. This is a rich gourmand fragrance that is both sweet and spicy. The cumin helps make this fragrance as remarkable as it is. The closest fragrance I could ever compare it to is Arabie, but this is not nearly as strong, and not quite as rough; Dinner is soft, comforting, and daring at the same time. Very nice.

Very interesting unisex scent. Very sweet scent for me to like but I do! Has a kinda "sweet cola" note in there along with many others. Interesting and lasts for ever! Nab a bottle if you see one I say!

The $4.00 price tag at TJ Maxx was too tempting to pass up, just to satisfy my curiosity. After all, I've paid more than that for a tiny sample vial from Lucky Scent! Here are the notes:

Top: lime, mandarin, sweet orange, exotic fruit
Heart: plum, peach, candied fruit, gingerbread, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, cumin
Base: patchoili, incense, vanilla, musk, resins, ylang-ylang, violet, jasmine

At first sniff, I got the cola accord others have noted, and thought, "Hmmm...this isn't horrible." But the cola rapidly faded and the cumin note came on strong, combined with a lemony note. Made me think of a southeast Asian appetizer, or a cold avocado soup I once had, made with cumin and lemongrass. This phase of the fragrance might be okay if it actually were DINNER, but I did not enjoy smelling like cumin. The drydown was actually quite nice, as the spices and base notes came out.

If it weren't for the cumin, French designers Anne and Alexi Hardouin-Finz might have had a “hit” fragrance.

An inspirational Cola smelling scent. Not sure why Dinner was chosen as a name but it sure is a wonderful Oriental copy of pure coke.
