Reviews of Cuir de Russie  Sporenburg   SpainShow all reviews  | Another lesson in nostalgia. This one surprisingly evokes memories of bed linen and cabinets at my grandparents. Very soothing and mysterious. As with other LJR fragrances this possesses a soft elegance. Cuir de Russie is a clean fragrance in which the leather functions more as a contrast (in play with amber and a to my nose unidentifiable flowery component) than centerpiece. I gravitate to the idea that Cuir de Russie would give me more joy as a scented candle (which they indeed carry) than a fragrance I would wear with any regularity. 12nd November, 2009.
