A beautiful white floral that is saved from being pedestrian by the addition of pink pepper & linden. Decent sillage and staying power. What more could you want?

Lively, sprightly, citrus-punch jasmine. This is an idealized jasmine without the indolic, animalic notes. It is wrapped in lemon-lime-orange zest and floats merrily into the air. I would describe it the same way that I describe my obsession with juice: Frozen orange juice (and artificial jasmine perfume) is passable. Fresh-squeezed orange juice (and real jasmine absolute) is wonderful, but you can't use a lot. Five Alive citrus punch (and La Chasse Aux Papillons) is not exactly orange juice, but the combination manages to be just as enjoyable and somehow easier to enjoy.
This is a lovely, yummy, bubble gummy jasmine perfume that attracts me the same way Hermes 24, Faubourg does. No, it doesn't last a long time, but sometimes that is due to a high percentage of natural ingredients, which is a good thing. And it smells wonderful from the second you apply it until it is gone.

So gorgeous in the bottlel. On my skin it didn't really evolve-- just a strong blast of jasmine and a hint of orange blossom. On me it is too sweet and cloying.

This is a little too heavy on the floral notes for me. If you're into florals you would probably like this. I wouldconsider this more of a feminine scent and if you want a good idea of what you're getting before you try it, think Fracas.

Agree with others here that this is a gorgeous fragrance, soft and clear, BUT, the staying power is just unacceptable. Gone in one hour. Though I love the L'Artisan scents, I have trouble with staying power of many.

love this scent it's spring and summer in a botle,so sad it just last a few hours i just love the first notes of crisp and fresh linden and jasmin with a subtle orange flower.for me it's only fit for warmer weather and not the cold we're having right now too bad i have to wait about six months before using it again so it's back to a la nuit for a heavier jasmin

I love linden blossom more than most smells, so was disappointed by how little I could smell in this. That was the only disappointment, though - the rest is pure orange-blossom and honey delight. I wore this to get married in.

Very, very pleasant scent! It says: The spring has arrived! I would probably wear it in the middle of February to remind me of nature in bloom. More feminine fragrance than masculine, unless you are a very sensitive man. Unfortunately, it is very short lived, on my skin it stayed only for a couple of hours. For this reason I would not purchase it an gets a neutral rating from me.

It's a fascinating scent to me. The top note is fresh; the heart note is a tender and beautiful floral scent. It is fit for being wearing in evening time.

This is a beautiful floral blend! Light, fresh, and close wearing. The most obvious floral note is linden, which is crisp. I much prefer this version to the 'extreme' version - because I don't get the overload of pink pepper! For me, La Chasse Aux Papillons is bottleworthy and would be a very safe gift.

Marvelously feminine fragrance, opulent without becoming decadent and light without being fleeting. A definite departure from the more usual (read: unusual) fare offered up by L'Artisan, though. Do NOT get this one expecting a cousin to Dzongkha, Timbuktu, or even Bois Farine.

La Chasse is a gorgeous, subtle floral. I will use up my tester and perhaps buy more samples, but I don't think I could purchase a full bottle, if only because it has no lasting power whatsoever. I love layering Guerlain Herba Fresca with this because the mint/linden combination is summery and fresh.

Pretty, but not full bottle worthy for me. I barely smell the orange blossom; actually I smelled honeysuckle and gardenia when I first applied. Then the honeysuckle smell faded into more gardenia....and that's it. No pepper. No rose. Nothing special.

A bright, uplifting white flower bouquet, including jasmine, orange flower, and some very light, sweet rose. In other words, completely true to its name.

This is the same genre as Creed’s Fleurissimo and Fantasia des Fleurs, though not nearly so fresh, and with a certain peppery edge that those two older scents lack. Pretty, wearable, but not something I find terribly exciting.

"Chasing butterflies....A heavenly fragrance,
playing hide and seek amongst orange,
and lime trees in blossom"

Notes: Tuberose, Linden Blossom, Jasmine and Orange Blossom

La Chasse Aux Papillons (CAP) intends to evoke the image of chasing butterflies in a garden full of flower beds. It opens with a fairly nice smelling accord; its not terribly arresting, and smells like a mix of flowers and orange. Tuberose seems the dominant flower note; however, the tuberose smells a bit stale or muddy. Probably not the highest quality tuberose was used here. Neither the orange/lime or the tuberose note overpower each other - the result is a somewhat pleasant flowery fresh smell. I dont detect jasmine.

Theres very little development in CAP, if any, and the longevity is terrible. CAP is as week as a butterfly, and flies away from my skin within 30 minutes max. If applied on hair, it *might* last for an hour. Very poor. Sillage is nearly non-existent.

With its combination of a fairly average smell, a poor tuberose note, extremely poor longevity, CAP cannot win. It might do well as an airfreshener or a candle, but there are simply too many other more complex and expertly crafted florals out there which blow this away. This is a butterfly, nay a featherweight, amongst the heavyweights of florals. And it gets knocked out very badly.

Very "pretty" fragrance; evokes images of spring, sparkling light, and masses of flowers. I generally like warmer and deeper scents, so I don't think I'd purchase a full bottle, but if you are a fan of light florals (the tuberose is not overwhelming here), you might like this quite a bit.

As sweet and light as white grape juice, La Chasse is my favorite floral blend. The orange blossom positively sings, and the other florals (linden, tuberose, jasmine) provide backup harmony. The jasmine does not stand out as a single voice, and that's fine by me.

Chasing butterflies? More like rolling in tuberoses! No offense, but on my skin I just get plain old tuberose with a hint of pepper. The tuberose isn't even a good quality tuberose. Actually it reminds me of the tuberose note that's in White Diamonds. An as other reviewers have mentioned the lasting power is just horrible. Perhaps 5 minutes tops! Not for me. Just does not work with my chemistry.

This is an outstanding, stunningly beautiful floral that truly smells like a garden redolent with jasmine, orange blossom, and linden. The first time I smelled this it took my breath away. Three bottles later I still love it madly. La Chasse is paradise in a bottle.

too much violet, really simple, just not enough substance here, this is what I find with alot of the artisan line. I really dont understand why everyone loves this stuff

My favorite floral fragrance, this one is so beautiful that I can't help but be adicted to wearing it myself. With just the right blend of petals to keep this one close to a classic eau de cologne, with neroli, linden and a surprisingly light tuberose.

Bathroom cleaner/deodorant...cloying, faux flowery/tutti-frutti. it just disappears from there. Which is not a bad thing.

Rolling around in a bed of the loveliest flowers couldn;t possibly smell better than this fragrance. Seriously, I have walked by huge, incredibly lush floral arrangements while wearing this, and have attributed the sublime scent in the air to the flowers themselves only to relaize, once past, that it was my La Chasse Aux Papillons that smelled so very wonderful. Nice, rich tuberose is tempered with the honey-like stunner linden blossom, and orange blossom lends its slightly spicy cleanness to a sweet night-blooming jasmine. And that's it; from just these four notes, a floral symphony of unparalleled beauty. Given its nature, it does not linger on the skin as long as I'd like, but that's fine. I love it nonetheless. (BTW, L'Artisan now makes an intense version with a heavier tuberose note.)

Beautiful fragrance, the notes are lovely(jasmine, tuberose, linden) my only complaint is it's not very long lasting. It starts off quite nicely but after about an hour I can only catch a bit of it from my clothing. This smells like a breeze of spring air scented from a flower garden.

Fragrances don't get much more floral than La Chasse aux Papillons. This linden and tuberose scent is a spring garden in a bottle. Normally I find tuberose scents to be very harsh and far too buttery, but La Chasse's Tuberose is done with a very light hand. This gives the fragrance just the right amount of depth. If it were all light blossoms it would be far too trifling a scent. The whole composition is kept light by the addition of the linden blossom, a sublimely light, citrusy, soapy floral note. This fragrance almost floats, it is so ethereal. The name is wonderfully appropriate: Chasing Butterflies, as this scent is as bright and colorful as any butterfly. The lasting power is rather weak -about 3 hours - but for the time it lasts it is a true joy to wear.

Great scent, smells wonderful...It is for a woman but I am half tempted to wear, as I have sampled on my hand and it is sweet/floral and relaxing.
I am suprised I like it but I enjoy it.
