Reviews of Romance Silver Men ![]() The_Cologneist United StatesShow all reviews | A subtle, manly, synthetic smelling cypress fragrance. I probably wouldn't have swapped this off if I didn't get a sour note for the first hour or so. The opening is what makes or breaks the fragrance for me. Although the dry down in this is quite nice. Very very reminiscent of Gucci by Gucci. 19th February, 2011. |
| Diamondflame SingaporeShow all reviews | As with many RL releases, the top notes got my attention within the first minute, coming across refreshingly dark green, cypress-like, with hints of spice. Synthetic in feel though not overly so, with an easy-going masculine profile that many would find appealing, ROMANCE SILVER MEN sort of reminds me of Histoires de Parfums' 1828 Jules Verne especially with its muted woods. Not bad at all! 29th December, 2010. |
| signature United StatesShow all reviews | Romance Silver Men sort of gets you to the same place that say a Millesime Imperial does(it doesn't smell much like MI), but with out any of the parts that make Imperial good. It also doesn't have any of the parts that make a fragrance bad. It is the ultimate sideways thumb fragrance. Being extremely light, airy, and citrusy with something that smells like a hint of Allure Homme Sport makes Romance Silver Men the fragrance for people that are there. There doing what you might say? Making tomorrow happen today? Having fun? Engaging in the finest luxuries life can offer? No, just people that are there, milling about, smelling slightly cirtispicy. 25th June, 2010. |
![]() CyberGuy Show all reviews | I'm writing this to those of you who've been comparing this to RL Purple Label. I finally got the chance to compare these head to head today after my friend picked up a bottle of Romance Silver. I'm not going to deny there is a similarity between the two scents, but they are also very different. The Silver is much sweeter, and almost cloying if even slightly over applied. Purple Label is lacks the sweetness and seems quite a bit more refined. To me the PL is more like Creed's Erolfa than it is like Romance Silver. 16th February, 2010. |
![]() jagmartini United StatesShow all reviews | I've never been able to make up my mind as to whether or not I like Romance Silver. However, I keep going back to this oddly captivating scent in hopes of drawing a conclusion to this question. It's more of a citrus scent in the warmer months yet more musky/leathery/earthy in the cooler months: it is unquestionably one of the few fragrances one can wear year round without drawing ridicule from the fragrance-snobs. 2nd November, 2009. |
