Roberto Cavalli makes weired scents. There, I said it. I have now tried everything he has to offer for men, and with the exception of Just Cavalli Blue and Cavalli Black, his scents are very weired. Distinctive, but weired, very off the wall, dare I say avant-guard. If you are the type that doesn't want to smell like any one else and you want something borderline exotic, Cavalli is for you. This particular scent is strange because it opens with a heavy ginger which most likely will make you wonder what the heck is this stuff? But like the first (Cavalli Man) you gotta be patient with this stuff, and you need to sparay A LOT of it. For me I use anywhere between 10 and 18 to achieve what I believe Cavalli had in mind. The next thing is that Cavalli scents are designed to be enjoyed not by the wearer, but by those around you. Many have complained about the lack of longevity, but it is only because they can't smell it after about an hour. I guarantee you that everyone else around you can smell it though, without bothering them one bit. Cavalli scents wear like Incanto by Ferragamo, another scent accused of having no lasting power at all. The comparison to Cerruti Image is pretty close, though Cavalli has a gingery rather than orange blossomy-jasmine Image does. This is not the popular choice but I am a Cavalli guy, and I recommend this and Cavalli Man for your collection if you are looking for that "stump 'em" fragrance. No one will be able to guess what you are wearing, except for maybe me if I am around =). 20 June 2007

similar and almost the same whatīs on the market today-nothing special-very expensive and simple!Roberto Cavalli is definitely a handsome man with a strong will and looking like a lion-why does he such bad sissi stuff for men?Not all are androgyn!Where are the real male scents folks?Okay,if itīs a present you may clean the carpets or the bathroom with it but do not complain if it smells worse than Mr.Proper...hehehhe... 09 October 2006

Smells just like Zanzibar, only with less ginger. Not bad, just not something I'm gonna knock myself out to get to, that's all. 03 October 2006

I tried a spray of this fragrance on a paper... smells very woody, but it remembers another fragrance, in the same way of Declaration from Cartier and with a hint of Bulgari pour homme, maybe because the Cardamom and the Guaiacwood. The papers says the top notes are: Bergamot, Ginger and Cardamom. The middle ones are: Clary Sage, Geranium and Coriander. The Dry Down has Cedarwood, Guaiacwood and Musk. A winter scent. 07 April 2006

I dislike cardamom but here it's well compounded. This frag is a bit of a letdown only in its base. The top notes are however fresh and invigorating. 11 February 2006
