Should have added carmel, vanilla and almond to the apple note (instead of all those flowers) ~ now THAT would Be Delicious!!! I've smelled this on some younger women, and it's fresh & fruity - just not very distinctive. 17 June 2009

Didn't get the apple. Got the cucumber but it "tasted" like melon. I found it less offensive than the male version. A little less synthetic too. I would never wear it but I can't say I totally dislike it. 30 March 2009

I was quite disappointed by this. I wanted an apple scent, a more grown up version of my Body Shop Original Sin apple splash. But it smelt more melony on me...as others have said, a great smell for a shampoo or body lotion (o, if only the Body Shop made a Golden Apple scent) but not enough for a frag. It is a good summer/daytime scent, though, because it's fairly basic and I don't find it overpowering. Maybe I was put off by once having a housemate, quite different to myself, who splashed the stuff all over... 29 January 2009

It doesn't age well. I picked up half a bottle of this at a tester sale and it has developed what I call the Skink Stink. At a department store when the product is fresh I can definitely smell the green apples which is lively and exciting but it doesn't replicate well on the skin. Cheap skin lotion from the chemist does the job better for that fruity feel. While it is not awful, I just can't justify spending full price on this perfume when there are so many other fragrances I want. All I am grateful for is that I picked it up cheap as the bottle is definitely cute. 23 December 2008

I did not smell apples at all, on me it was more of a green floral fragrance. It is light but I don't really like the overpowering strength of the cucumber note in this one. Personally, the cucumber is a bit much in this one and the combination of notes isn't for me. It doesn't smell bad, some may think it smells nice. It is quite expensive (almost $50.00 for 1.7 oz bottle), so why does it remind me of an overpriced fruity/ green body splash? I also think that the round bottle and the sprayer on the top makes it a bit awkward to handle (it might be me because I have smaller hands?) I just don't know about this one...maybe if I keep using it, it the cucumber scent will grow on me? There is one problem though...it is lacking in the longevity department, it doesn't last very long on me (less than an hour) maybe I tried a bad bottle? or maybe it's just me? For now Be Delicious remains neutral in my book. 13 December 2008

My husband picked this out for me for Christmas last year and bought it... I absolutely love it and EVERY single time I wear it out, almost everyone I come in contact with asks me what I am wearing. I haven't had this reaction to a perfulme since I first wore SUNG by Alfred Sung! 10 June 2008

I feel like the perfumer didn't realize that the odor threshold of that cucumber-scent compound is several orders of magnitude less odor threshold than he expected! I can't smell anything else other than cucumber. It is not bad, but if you put on too much it will smell like gasoline. 29 November 2007

It's not really a bad scent. It just doesn't suit me... 01 November 2007

Perhaps because of the wateriness of cucumber, my initial impression was of a melon note. As the fragrance unfolded I imagined an apple composed of various flower buds and petals, which is essentially what this is all about. At no point in the experience do I really smell "apple" but the luscious, moist impression is made for sure. The opening is very fresh, aquatic, fruity, and floral and remains that way throughout to a degree; the sharper notes softening when the florals are revealed. In the end the rose is really prominent and serves to round out and give a more grounded body to the fragrance. 02 July 2007

The opening notes reminded me incredibly of Calyx by Prescriptives (a fragrance I love) - grapefruit and green grass notes. However unlike Calyx it transforms into a boring (not tart) apple scent that transforms again into a fruity/floral blah scent. OK longevity and strong sillage. I layer it with Burning Leaves by CBIHP and it's wonderful, though. 23 March 2007

I found that the cucumber drowned out the apple.....I was expecting really fresh, acidic, apple-dominated topnotes, but it smells like wilted cucumber. The drydown is nice enough, though quite boring and generic. I sort of regret the purchase. 09 March 2007

A very nice SA at Macy's provided me with samples of Be Delicious and I have to say I'm glad she did! I was considering buying it before, but now... it's not a bad scent, but as others have noted, kind of generic. Apple shampoo and Jolly Ranchers-- that's what it brings to mind. I don't really smell any of the other notes listed. I mean, at all. On the plus side, this scent got a LOT of positive comments from my male coworkers and friends. 03 May 2006

Cool crisp green apple meets a touch of floral and a satisfyingly woody drydown. Perfectly likable and agreeable though nothing mind-blowing and in danger of being more bland than anything else. I think this is a departure for Donna Karan's fragrance line; it's far more mainstream and understandable than anything that's come before, and in some ways I think that's a mistake even for the casual-but-trend-forward DKNY brand, which is supposed to be about an urban lifestyle. This is more of a "weekend in the woods" take on fragrance, something I'd picture wearing in a lodge. Of course, these days all the world seems to be doing wishy-washy fruit fragrances that lack strong points of view, so I guess the folks at DK are just trying to keep up with the crowd. 15 September 2005

I have to say I didnt smell the magnolia, in fact I didnt really smell much of anything. Its a very light scent, pretty unassuming. Green apple with a light floral background, and the tiniest hint of gasoline somewhere in the back. Good for someone who wants a casual, conservative scent but doesnt like florals. Not for me though. 06 August 2005
