I don't like the melon/fruity combination at all and combined with the synthetic-smelling apple, I'm left with an impression of a bucket of apple peels and hollowed out melon skins doused in some kind of cleaning product. Not good. I'm sure this will suit many people, but it fails to entice me.

My husband picked this out for me for Christmas last year and bought it...
I absolutely love it and EVERY single time I wear it out, almost everyone I come in
contact with asks me what I am wearing. I haven't had this reaction to a perfulme since I first wore SUNG by Alfred Sung!

Very refreshing, stylish, light, and fruity perfume.
Smells like grapefruit at the beginning then it smells like apple with a little watermelon scent, but mostly cucumber.
It is a Chypre - Floral type of perfume.
It reminds me of ‘moonflower’ by The Body Shop as it also has refreshing, light, and fruity scent as well as the scent of cucumber and watermelon.
‘Be Delicious’ brings the beautiful scent of apple, cucumber and many other fruity scents together, resulting an enjoyable combination of fruity scent.
Suitable to wear during the summer.

I feel like the perfumer didn't realize that the odor threshold of that cucumber-scent compound is several orders of magnitude less odor threshold than he expected! I can't smell anything else other than cucumber. It is not bad, but if you put on too much it will smell like gasoline.

It's not really a bad scent. It just doesn't suit me...

Perhaps because of the wateriness of cucumber, my initial impression was of a melon note. As the fragrance unfolded I imagined an apple composed of various flower buds and petals, which is essentially what this is all about. At no point in the experience do I really smell "apple" but the luscious, moist impression is made for sure. The opening is very fresh, aquatic, fruity, and floral and remains that way throughout to a degree; the sharper notes softening when the florals are revealed. In the end the rose is really prominent and serves to round out and give a more grounded body to the fragrance.

I took this on vacation with me to Cancun this past winter and wore it almost exclusively. Now that we have summer weather up north here, I'm reaching for this bottle time and again. There's something about this scent that is addictive, especially in warmer weather. The apple and citrus notes are refreshing, it's long lasting and with the right amount of sillage. It's popular in my house as I now have to share my bottle with my two daughters.

Ladies, there are few perfumes that can make me - basically - fall to my knees. I first smelled this in a magazine and loved it. About a week later I walked past a girl with it on and something in my mind clicked on, and I pursued her like mad. Later, about a year later, smelled it again, and knew it instantly, I had broken up with the first one by then and continued to pursue this one. There is just something about this smell that just drives me absolutely nuts. It's like every thing wonderful about a freshly chilled apple mixed with untamed sexual desire. I love this fragrance!

A very fresh scent that is good in warm weather and perfect in cold weather. Nice bottle. I'm not a fan of the name, but that's really not a big deal. It's original and you will stand out, because not many people have it (at least in my area).

My hairstylist told me about DKNY Be Delicious, so believing her as I do about everything in the beauty world, I rushed out and scored a sample from our one and only Herbergner's. Within five minutes, I was looking for a drinking fountain, not only to take some Exceedrin for a quickly approaching migraine headache, but to wash that scent off my wrist! The initial burst of floral was overpowering to say the least. I waited for the next note to appear, only to find that it was a weaker version of the first. Did I ever find the Apple, the Watermellon, the delighful fruit salad I expected? No. Perhaps it's my personal chemistry, perhapsI'll try it again, but for now, I'll put the sample away and try my Chanel Coco.

I absolutely love this scent and it smells great on my friend Amy as well. Smells like a juicy, crisp, fresh, Granny smith apple at first, then the scent becomes a warm fruity floral. Everyone loves this and it is perfect for casual wear.

The opening notes reminded me incredibly of Calyx by Prescriptives (a fragrance I love) - grapefruit and green grass notes. However unlike Calyx it transforms into a boring (not tart) apple scent that transforms again into a fruity/floral blah scent. OK longevity and strong sillage.

I layer it with Burning Leaves by CBIHP and it's wonderful, though.

I found that the cucumber drowned out the apple.....I was expecting really fresh, acidic, apple-dominated topnotes, but it smells like wilted cucumber. The drydown is nice enough, though quite boring and generic. I sort of regret the purchase.

This to me is a typical boring fruity floral and I am one who likes an occasional fruity floral, but this one is just blah. Nothing different or special. Ripe green apples with more fruit and cucumber, florals, and the drydown woods are not even perceptible to me. It is not offensive in any way, just boring.

This perfume smells like Curve, to me. And I cannot wear it, for the same reasonsI won't wear Curve. It reminds my husband of all irritating women he used to encounter when he worked in a movie theater.

(Cute bottle!) At first I get a strong hint of grapefruit, which is a little bitter - not my favourite, and then after a few minutes I can really smell the cucumber and a bit of apple. After that I can't decide if it reminds me more of fresh apples or canned pears. Nice and mild, unfortunately it doesn't last very long.

I bought my Be Delicious 2 days ago and first was completely turned off by everyone saying how bad it smelled on them, and I also didn't like the strong apple scent. But I by no means smell like an apple! Like after 15 minutes, a sexy floral scent with a hint of watermelon (which I love) remains, and I already got some compliments for the fragrance. Maybe you gotta have the right chemistry for this one, but it's still lovely! And not unoriginal either, I can't really remember a fragrance similar to this.

A very nice SA at Macy's provided me with samples of Be Delicious and I have to say I'm glad she did! I was considering buying it before, but now... it's not a bad scent, but as others have noted, kind of generic. Apple shampoo and Jolly Ranchers-- that's what it brings to mind. I don't really smell any of the other notes listed. I mean, at all. On the plus side, this scent got a LOT of positive comments from my male coworkers and friends.

I loved this when I smelled it in a magazine, but it's not the same from the bottle. My boyfriend can't get enough of it, and bought it for me. So sometimes I wear it for him. But it's just so overpowering! I need softer scents, and this one is as subtle as ammonia.

Should have added carmel, vanilla and almond to the apple note (instead of all those flowers) ~ now THAT would Be Delicious!!!

Strangely this doesn't smell of apples to me. It just smells strange and generic, I was expecting an apple scent but the cucumber seems to dominate it all.

It's NOT a scent to try.

This scent is dominated by the smell of green apples. Not horrific, but then why would anyone want to smell like an apple? I don't see the point.

I'm definitely not a fan of most apple fragrances, but Be Delicious is an exception. When I smelled it on the test strip it reminded me of shampoo, but on my skin this is a really wearable, refreshing, and stylish fragrance. I'm going to purchase this one! I love the bottle, too.

Very modern and somewhat retro at the same time: modern the really genial design of the bottle and package and the freshness and clearness, retro because it reminds me on the apple shampoos, we used in the 80ies, when I was a child, the perfumed pencils and rubbers we loved and the strong colored sweets and candies, that colored teeths and tongue for hours.
The dominant scent is the apple and maybe melon. It's soo fresh and smooth like warm rain in a late summer afternoon and delicious like fresh fruits eaten while walking through town.
Very young, very sensual and somehow airy-fairy. I fell in love with it.

Cool crisp green apple meets a touch of floral and a satisfyingly woody drydown. Perfectly likable and agreeable though nothing mind-blowing and in danger of being more bland than anything else. I think this is a departure for Donna Karan's fragrance line; it's far more mainstream and understandable than anything that's come before, and in some ways I think that's a mistake even for the casual-but-trend-forward DKNY brand, which is supposed to be about an urban lifestyle. This is more of a "weekend in the woods" take on fragrance, something I'd picture wearing in a lodge. Of course, these days all the world seems to be doing wishy-washy fruit fragrances that lack strong points of view, so I guess the folks at DK are just trying to keep up with the crowd.

A truly delicious scent - very fruity, much admired by friends but not too sweet or cloying

At first I didn't think I was going to like the way this smelled. I'm not really into apple scented anything. But this smells fantastic. It doesn't reek of apples although there is a hint of it in there. It's not overpowering at all and lasts all day. The body scrub is excellent as well.

I first sampled Be Delicious in a ferry duty free shop, and I loved it immediately. Along with my friends I tested lots of fragrances, although it was difficult to stick to just a couple of smells. This fragrance stood out as being different from the others, although it was one of the priciest. I think it’s the apple and melon that make it really fruity without being too heavy, and long lasting. It smells lovely on everyone, and I would recommend it for any age group. I am not keen on the bottle. It looks great, but I prefer the old-fashioned kind of bottle with a lids that is less fiddly.

I like this because its so fresh. a nice light fruity smell, perfect for summertime. On me it smells like green apple with a really subtle floral undertone. I got a lot of compliments on the scent and would recommend it to those who are looking for something light and different for the summer season.

I have to say I didnt smell the magnolia, in fact I didnt really smell much of anything. Its a very light scent, pretty unassuming. Green apple with a light floral background, and the tiniest hint of gasoline somewhere in the back. Good for someone who wants a casual, conservative scent but doesnt like florals. Not for me though.
