This is the cleanest scent there is.
Fresh, citrusy, just showered but not soapy.
It puts me in a good mood everytime I wear it.
There's only one problem- the only compliment I've gotten -not that I evaluate fragrances on comments- was from a girl at a bank: "mmm... I love the detergent you use. which one is it?".

    ???

I told her, it's the more expensive one, 220 usd a bottle :(

Still, I love it. But it's odd the times I've gotten more compliments have been on a 45 USD musk cologne by Kiehl's or when I used "power" by Kenzo that was given me as a gift and I thought it was repulsive talcum synthetic powder.

    Go figure!

I acquired a bottle of EAU DE NEW YORK after having sampled a vial about a year ago, and I am happy to have done so. This is another example of a Bond no 9 creation that I only wear in hot weather and don't even really like once it gets cold (same story as CENTRAL PARK for me...). But I love this crisp citrus-floral-vetiver come summertime!

I do not find EAU DE NEW YORK soapy, although it really is very clean. Yet it is not a straightforward citrus cologne, as some might surmise from the top notes. I do aver that it bears similarities to other fragrances, including Banana Republic W, which costs about 1/10th the price. However, EAU DE NEW YORK is definitely richer to my nose, and has much better longevity.

Upon spritzing this composition on, I immediately experience a rush of citrus-woodiness, but it is much more about petit grain than juicy citrus (grapefruit and mandarin). The basil and verbena contribute a lot here too, and the vetiver is detectable as well. Neroli and lily are also key. All in all, a scrumptious array of notes woven together into a seamless tapestry of scent. I like it a lot and do not consider it overly masculine at all, as one reviewer below suggested. Refreshing!

This smells like a typical eau de cologne yet, is pretty well done. Citrus, florals and herbal vegetal greens. It's smooth, long lasting and does what it aims to do quite well. It's very fresh, herbal while at the same time being bold and unique for a typical Eau De Cologne type of scent.
This stuff lasts for a long time and projects quite well. The sillage trail is absolutely beautiful and this is truly a unisex fragrance. The more you wear this the more you like it as it's completely uplifting. This is very underrated. It's a three way hybrid of a tart lively citrus, an Eau de cologne and herbal bold freshness.

This scent is a homage to white lily...a stunning and addictive scent heavily infused in a never ending white lily note trail...an absolute masterpiece...you can also sense green notes all around... In my opinion, a great creation by Bond no 9. Very unisex and uplifting with good sillage and great longevity. Would recommend for the 30 plus age group.

Very bottle-worthy. Smells like something I may or may not have smelled before. A strong vibe of industrial/institutional grade laundry detergent, or fabric softener. On top of this 'skeleton', is the 'flesh' of which recalls the likes of GREAT JONES, NUITS DE NOHO, BROOKLYN, and RIVERSIDE DRIVE. This would be a much better candidate to fill the slot of BOND No.9's "flagship" than CHEZ BOND; it just seems to represent the soul of BOND quite well.
In a word: STRANGE. Strangely wearable in all seasons except Summer; it's just too full-bodied and up-front to be anything less than obnoxious/cloying in 90 degree humidity of July/August.
Just like MOST of the stuff BOND chooses to refer to as "UNISEX", this is anything BUT. EAU DE NEW YORK is unflinchingly masculine, and I couldn't imagine a woman wanting to smell this on herself any more than a man would want to smell CHELSEA FLOWERS on himself.

The dominant notes I get are a lemon and lime accord and some nice woods. It is cool and refreshing. The only complaint I have is that those characteristics don't make it stand out from most of the others in the same genre. I admit, I’ve given thumbs-up to less pleasing fragrances just because they take artistic risks. This one, no. Very safe. So, I give it a qualified thumbs-up and recommend it to lovers of citrus.
