A light citrus/musk with a flowery overtone. That's how I can describe IF. It completely reminds me of Keiko Mecheri's Sanguine. In choosing between the two, I'd most likely go with the Mecheri ~ sans flowers ~ a bit more wearable. If you are in the mood for a light and refreshing change of pace, IF would do nicely.

If is the epitome of "pretty". It's a very, very light, feminine, gardenia-laden soft floral. I may be slightly anosmic to the musk in this one...because this fragrance almost seem too light on my skin. But it's charming, and superb on hot summer days. To my nose, this is the scent of sweet, gardenia and jasmine petals, enhanced by yuzu rind and green leaves, floating on powdery, oceanic musk. If you are a fan of Mazzolari Marina, Sarah Horowitz Peace Comes From Within, Il Profumo Musc Bleu, or Serge Lutens Clair de Musc, I'll bet you'll like If!

egyptian musk. some top notes throw in for fun, but nothing that bears mentioning. but here's the thing...if you like plain musk, this is one, in the edt (edp) form, which lasts absolutely forever. i mean, this stuff had serious cling. i spritzed a sample on my forearm yesterday morning, then took a shower, put on cuir de russie (a waste, i could only smells this light but insisitant musk) worked all day, put lotion on, spritzed bal a versailles on the same arm, more lotion, slept...and now i am still smelling this musk.
so if you have extra cash and would rather buy something pricey rather than one of the millions of inexpensive but identical egyptian musks out there, this is for you.
me...i'd recommend the bal a versailles.
