The yuzu fruit is an Asian citrus fruit resembling a small orange. It's smell is uplifting and comes to the nose in a similar manner as bergamot. It is widely used in body treatments and baths.

Upon first sniff of this refreshing elixir, it gives an overall impression of a well blended citrus tea...reminding me of Bulgari's Au the Rouge and a bit of Au the Vert. Yuzu Rouge possesses a slightly effervescent quality, but doesn't get powdery or cloying at all. Yuzu is citrusy, but not any particular citrus fruit. (for ex. it is not 'lemony' or 'grapefruity') "Gentle" would be the most appropriate adjective to describe the smell. Yuzu Rouge also remains completely linear from the initial application throughout the entire wearing. It's kind of pricey, from memory I believe it was over $100.00. - and THAT was for the edt.! As a side note, when searching on the computer, I found the edp., and the bottle is EXACTLY the same as the new Keiko Mecheri's Not exactly sure what that means....but it feels as though I've stumbled upon some sort of perfume discovery!

I'd definitely suggest sampling this fine fragrance, and would personally like to try the edp. version. Yuzu Rouge is easy to wear, very enjoyable, could make a perfect 'go to' scent for the hot & humid Midwestern summer days!

Yuzu Rouge has a very light, crisp citrus opening that quickly develops just a hint of rose that balances the sharpness of the citrus. The dry down takes the rose theme a little further adding just a little sweet spice to the mix. The longevity of this is typical of citrus scents on my skin, and it seems to have very little sillage. I think this would be much better as an EDP, as both the longevity and sillage would be greatly improved. Yuzu Rouge is definitely a warm weather fragrance best worn in daylight hours, and can be easily worn by both men and women. Overall a very nice fragrance but not one that I feel the need to own.

Yuzu has a habit of smelling like an orange rose to me. I'd rather have real rose or something derivative thereof, The support of tropical fruits only cements my thoughts on an orange, sour note of rose. Rose is in this according to the notes but I still smell yuzu throughout. All orange rose to me. Maybe too floral but fruity enough for some. I'm on the fence with this one.

Yuzu Rouge is light, uncomplicated citrus floral perfume that I find very appealing, especially in Houston's humid summertime. I like Yuzu Rouge much better than say Fresh's "Lemon Sugar" which has too much of a powder/Ajax note to be truly enjoyable. In contrast, Yuzu Rouge is a clean, bright mixture of citrus and rose. I just wish it lasted a little longer than 45 minutes on my skin. In fact, if you like the notes listed below but want something with more sillage, Parfums de Rosine's Une Zeste de Rose would probably do the trick. However, I plan to fully enjoy my sample of Yuzu Rouge while it lasts.

Here are the notes from Luckyscent: Japanese yuzu fruit, grapefruit, verbena, black currant and damascena rose.

Yuzu Rouge is a beautifully light and transparent citrus fragrance. I get more grapefruit than yuzu and very little verbena. It has a nice (but special only in its combination) rose note that is well blended into the accords. There’s a substantial green in the mix, too, which takes over from the citrus after the citrus fades out. I don’t get any spice and there’s a gossamery musk / amber dry down with a definite moss element in its persona. Yuzu Rouge has a light sillage and about typical longevity for a quality citrus fragrance. It is a well done, transparent, and somewhat feminine fragrance IMO. I think the price of the fragrance is too expensive for what it offers, but I find it very nice and vote a thumbs up.

Yuzu Rouge is to me perhaps the most shampoo-ish fragrance that I have ever tried. Not kidding; and actually I`d claim that it`s almost exact smell with one specific Finnish shampoo that I have used several years of time.
This is not a bad thing if you want to smell like shampoo; fresh and clean with natural vs. synthetic nuances.
For me, a hundred euro niche fragrance will have to offer way much more than this. Way much more.

Little credit for nice green/woody undertones plus for decent longevity.
