   |  I am surprised that others could not identify the peony, because, to me, this is exactly it! Gorgeous summer peony in bloom smell I also layer it, like Hanna, with other fragrances.25 July 2008 |
  |  Well it does smell vaguely like peony. Vaguely. And very sharply perfumey. And also very much alike the non-currant bits of Grosellina. And also gone after a few minutes on the skin. Oh how I wish there was a true peony perfume, but I have yet to come across one!21 May 2008 |

  | I bought this for my little sister today, and I have to say I'm impressed (spritzed myself in the shop)... it lasts extremely well, which I wasn't expecting at all...coming up on 6 hours now and I can still smell it wafting up from my arm. The opening is bright and fresh, but this soon gives way to a beautiful dewy peony scent- very much the smell of the live flower after spring rain. As it dries down violet takes over and the composition becomes much sweeter ( but not overly so), and warmer.I get a little iris, but not much. It's quite delightful. Youthful and romantic... I may have to get myself some. 08 December 2007 |
 | I love Pivoine Magnifica. It starts off with a whiff of tangy citrus which quickly settles down to a rich peony with more than a little hint of violet and iris. As with all Aqua Allegoria scents, it is not very complex, but then sometimes that's exactly what you want. I often layer it with sharper Guerlain fragrances (especially Parure and Eau Impériale) in order to 'soften' the bergamot or citrus in them, which works beautifully! Mmm... 10 November 2006 |
