Extremely run of the mill here, a major letdown considering how much I love Ambre. it smells like a few dozen other colognes out there, including drugstore varieties. I gave this to my Brother... 13 July 2009

Indeed I didn't expect so bad comments for this scent. It is an all weather masculine spicy fresh perfume tha last for hours. On me lasts about 6-7 hours and I find it very pleasant. Generally the Baldessarini perfumes are very nice. This smells like the Chrome from Azzaro but with some pepper. For me this is better although Chrome is very commercial. 08 July 2009

Another entry in the Baldessarini catalogue of mediocrity. I really don't get Del Mar, and in fairness I didn't try that hard. If I have to invest a lot of energy understanding a fragrance, it is has failed. It seems like a random collection of discordant notes vying for domination of this execrable dung heap. 06 July 2009

No way. Smells like a lesser version of Armani Code which doesn't make it inherently bad. A musky vanilla... smells OK. Doesn't project a lot. 30 October 2008

Initial notes are sandalwood, fruit, salty ocean air, and rather dry. My initial impression is very, very similar to Dunhill Pure. Initially more dry, then as it dries it becomes much more sweet - sweeter even than Pure. It may take some getting used to; it's very sweet, I hate to say it, but dries down like pink bubblegum. I see it as duplicative of the aforementioned fragrance in my wardrobe. In fact, by contrast, the Dunhill fragrance (I have Del Mar Baldessarini on one wrist, and Dunhill Pure on the other right now) although not among my favorites, is a bit more herbal, cool, manageably sweet. Del Mar is a narrow neutral, hovering just above negative, because it may be a fun, irreverent fragrance for a day out with the kids. I wouldn't want to smell like this around other adults, certainly not at work. 07 September 2008

Reviews (in this case) says everything. Del Mar is really bad product. Smell synthetic, like a lot of bad perfumes. I used it in summer time and I didnt recieve any compliment. Normally, I recieve comments, good ones and bad ones...from people who lives with me, coworkers,etc....This fragance doesnt have aura, projection. Mediocre is the word. Plus:Very heavy bottle, I dont know why. I lost my money. 15 July 2008
