Weeeeyyyooo this is refreshing! The opening is a beautiful, natural blast of eucalyptus and rosemary, while the heart is powdery, yet thin lavender. Deep in the basenotes is crisp and woody cypress. Like a dip into ice cold water at the top of a coniferous mountain. I haven't tried this in the summer heat, but I can't see it being anything other than fantastic.

It's unbelievable how different the human olfactory perception is.
Inselaffe found a "Curry powder" dry down in CdT. I definetely do not.

CdT is an exceptionally fresh, herbal and coniferous scent at the same time.
CdT opens with a herbal spicy sage note with an already existent cypress whiff. In the further course
the pine and cypress notes come more and more to the fore in combination with the not too sweet floral notes.
The flowery ingredients of the middle makes it soft and prevent it from being to dominant into the coniferous direction.
Very well balanced!

Unfortunately I have a problem with the sillage (which is sufficient only for the first 2-3 hours) and the longevity (max 4 hours
on me).
As a conclusion, if you are happy with the longevity/sillage it's one of the best summer scent.

This is a beautiful fragrance. I've been sampling it all week, and it is probably one of the refreshing fragrances I've ever tried. I've been finding myself smelling my wrists over and over again because of just how "therapeutic" this fragrance is. The cypress and eucalyptus at the beginning really sets the tone. The transition happens fairly quickly though to the other notes including pine, lavender, rosemary, mug weed and oakmoss in the middle and base notes. The base reminds me very much of Paco Rabanne with the musky oakmoss finish.

Great fragrance, and I think it's probably going to be one of the new staples of my collection.

Surprisingly, I really quite liked this scent, especially after feeling so let down by AdP Colonia. I tried this and was instantly taken aback by the Cypress/Green notes but after about 5 minutes this was really proving to be a joy on my skin. I smelt a little lavender in there as well as the sage. On the very hot day which I was testing this, it started to blossom wonderfully and I could easily detect this scent moving through top-middle-base notes.

I'd liken this to an evening sitting on a mediterrianian beach, early evening its sunny still and bright, half an hour later the sun is starting to set and things are cooling down slightly, an hour later night time is almost upon you and the embers of the beach fire and smouldering but dissapointingly about to sputter out and signal the end of your night. Which brings me to the downside of Cipresso di Toscana. It just doesn't seem to last long enough on me.

This will get a thumbs up though because it is a thoroughly good scent and not too expensive either so I wouldn't mind over applying to have it last a little longer.

Cipresso di Toscana is part of Acqua di Parma's Blu Mediterraneo product range, which contains several product families with an aromatherapy aspect build into them. A woman who was telling people about Acqua di Parmas's products at my local store told me that the areas mentioned in the fragrance names tell you where the natural ingredients used in the product come from. If that is correct, the ingredients used in Cipresso di Toscana do truly come from Tuscany. That sounds neat.

On my skin the opening smells very herbal and is really intense, but after about 30 seconds the herbs quickly fade away and the scent starts to settle to a much less intense cypress note. From here on there isn't much development at least on my skin. All the notes smell very "real", because natural ingredients have been used like in all of Acqua di Parma's products. Longevity is quite good on my skin. I'm not sure how long that is however, but I'd say that it's at least a couple of hours. Sillage can be a problem, though, so apply a few more sprays at the beginning or reapply later.

Of the Blu Mediterraneo line Cipresso di Toscana is most clearly an aromatherapy product. I find it hard to think of this as a fragrance that I would use when I go out to be with other people. This isn't an elegant fragrance that would make a good impression on someone. My recommendation is to use this on a warm summer day when you go sit under the sun. When you close you eyes and breath deep in it's not that hard to imagine being in Tuscany in the middle of green hills and trees. I'd like to give this one a positive rating, but it doesn't have enough to offer to truly deserve it. However, I do recommend everyone to try this and all the other products in the Blu Mediterraneo range.

Very sharp opening wash redolent of citrus and violets. The dry down has an unpleasant spike which reminds me of curry powder. A deeply disappointing blend of ill matched ingredients.

Cypress scents are usually found wanting due to their linear development; the pine dominates, leading to associations with disinfectants, toilet cleaners etc.
Tuscan Cypress is an exception. While the cypress accord is there it is masterfully balanced by the herbal/citrus opening and the aromatic lavender heart. This is the best of the blu mediterraneo line to my eyes. Versatile and beautiful it is a keeper to be enjoyed on a any casual occasion, the office, a warm day... the possibilities are endless.
Mediterranean minimalism at its best!

A cypress I can deal with. Most of the time cypress just comes off as chemical and airy to me. However, the downside to the fragrance for me is that it's a bit too "perfumey". Perhaps it's the over abundance of herbs and citrus that go crazy here.

Beautiful and invigorating summer cypress fragrance. It's rather shy in it's sillage though and needs plenty of application -- not sure of longevity yet. If it lasts, it's a keeper for sure.

Fragrance notes: clary sage, basil, lavender, cypress
I am a huge fan of coniferous scents... I like them all! Bring ‘em on! Yes, Tuscan Cypress is more delicate than Creed’s incredible Cyprès-Musc (a great favorite). But TC is a very worthy bottle in my collection. There is a marvelous green-herbal opening: excellent basil, a hint of dry lavender, and a good dollop of musky clary sage. The cypress note quickly develops and has a lovely piney wood tone. This is a tonic fragrance, it is meant to be straight-forward, clean, bracing, invigorating. It is an excellent day and summer scent. I appreciate the way that the basil persists and settles into the green accord; it interacts very well with the other elements. At first, the basil was so apparent that I wondered if TC was a re-vamped version of the discontinued Fogile di Basilico, also by Blu Mediterraneo. A comparative spritz settled the question. FB is very green with a strong fruity note from bergamot. TC has a much more aromatic quality due to the clary sage and cypress. I like it very much.

More true to the “Mediterraneo” in the name than the “Cipresso,” the top notes are herbal and citrus, but there is a slight coniferous ambiance lurking about among the herbal aromatics and the Hesperidian freshness. This top is light, attractive, and moderately sharp, without being either intriguing or boring. Except for a loss of sharpness and a reduction of aromatics, the middle notes are quite reminiscent of the top notes — it continues herbal, with the addition of lavender, while the pine replaces the citrus: A little too similar to the top, but, like the top, neither too much nor too little, and, overall, quite pleasant. I do feel, however, that the lavender in the middle accord dulls the clarity of the heart notes. The floral component of the middle misses me entirely — perhaps the florals are there in the background, but you can’t prove it by me. This heart is my least favorite part of the fragrance. It is in the base where the true nature of the ‘cipresso’ takes over. The base that boasts the dominant coniferous character is very engaging: Cypress and cedar and oak moss, with the patchouli and vetiver, create a singular and refreshing coniferous accord. Cipresso di Toscana is quite light and very refreshing. Its lightness can be a problem because I’ve found that I need to apply more of this fragrance than I do of most others. Where ordinarily I use one and one-half or two sprays, I need at least double that to achieve the desired results from Cipresso. It lasts about three or four hours. I really like the pleasantness and subtlety of this fragrance so I am voting a thumbs up. I can readily agree with the other reviewers about its linearity and plentiful herbalness, but, even so, I find the fragrance attractive. 315

This might be the most refreshing scent that I have ever tried. The key to truly enjoying this lies in an earlier reviewer's suggestion to double the number of sprays that you would normally use. When applied in this manner, the citrus topnotes never fully dissappear and combine wonderfully with the vetiver, patchouli and woods beneath. I expected something heavier, but was pleasantly surprised... perhaps you will be too! Give this one a shot.

Interesting experimental scent but slightly unilateral. I would have expected a more complex drydown, tough the concept and its potential are good. But probabnly Tusacny's traditional flavours and essences are the perfect scent in itsself, much too complex to be captured in one sigle- even exclusive and daring- scent.

I'm generally crazy for conifers (pine, cypress, juniper, I like 'em all), and I have no fear of the household cleaner / car deoderiser association that many seem to dread. But this is really more about citrus, with aromatic herbs and cedar bubbling up from underneath. Overall, a nice, undemanding cologne that's suffers from its innacurate handle.

I really like this one. The cypress note is clearly there but never pungent, much more delicate than in Cypres Musc; no possible confusion or analogy with pine-scented toilet freshener (always the risk with coniferous notes, unfortunately); around the cypress, there's lots of sage which is one of my preferred notes, perhaps rosemary, a nice hint of lavender and a dry and elegant, almost smoky musk base.
