Reviews of Corduroy| Wise Owl United KingdomShow all reviews | Judging by the name and the 'blurb' on the front of the box, I expected this to be a strong, rugged, masculine kind of scent. Perhaps even something approaching a modern day powerhouse. While it is a very manly fragrance with some interesting notes, it is also very disappointingly subtle with only poor to average longevity. Corduroy does have the potential to be great, but unfortunately it's way too muted. 8th December, 2011. |

No, but they really don't need to with a this fairly innocuous frag. Corduroy is a warm, subtle and sweet frag that could be a flanker to Bulgari Black. Opens with a light grapefruit and cardamon aroma that quickly gives forth to cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. The progression feels natural and unforced, like the recipe has been around for years but to my knowledge, it hasn't. The smokey vanilla smells reminiscent of Bulgari Black's which is saying something. Costs next to nothing and highly recommended. Get this instead of Gucci Pour Homme II. You'll be happy you did. 10th October, 2011. |
| ViViD JapanShow all reviews | Oh yes, oh yes, this is a wonderful scent. I love the cardamom which is ever so present in this cologne. It goes well with the vanilla in the bass. I will say however, it is very much a unisex scent, but I like that about it. It goes on strong with the citrus and cardamom. but dries into a soft sweet scent that many compare to Bvlgari Black. I really enjoy this, as it smells expensive but costs less than $10. It can be worn as casual as something like Old Spice, or it goes well with the suit and tie in a formal occasion. My only big complaint is that the lasting power is not a good as I would prefer, but while it lasts, it is amazing and for the price, you will love it! I highly encourage you to give this a try. 30th July, 2011. |

I would love to own a big wool sweater that somehow always smelled like Corduroy. The vanilla/ tonka/ woods combo reminds me fondly of Oak from the Bath & Body Works signature collection, which is by far the best of that lot. And this has to be the most light-handed cardamom in the business that's actually discernible, giving a warm, spiced rum effect. Very nicely done. 25th February, 2011. |
