WEARABLE ! I was fortunate enough to smell this one on a man and a woman. It's really a unisex fragrance although it's heavy sweetness makes it more wearable for women. Gaultier² is really (i mean REALLY) sweet. It begins sweet, and it ends sweet (and in between those 2 stages it's still sweet). It smells nice but as soon as you get familiar with it, you realize that something is missing. It is very long lasting, but the fact that this fragrance doesn't evolve too much, makes it somehow annoying. I wouldn't recommend this for every day use, but maybe on the right women at the right time, this could work. 01 July 2008

Gaultier2 is very sweet and contain a few corresponding counterpoints to the sweetness — those counterpoints do not go far enough; however, the fragrance depends on vanilla as its primary sweetness, and I think the way the vanilla is handled is quite well done. Normally I don’t like fragrances that are strong in vanilla, but this is one of them that I do not mind. Gaultier2 claims to use vanilla pods for its particular note, and I think that this form reduces the, what I think is the uber sweetness of many of the vanilla notes. At any rate I think the sweetness of Gaultier2 is handled well. I don’t get much else out of the fragrance, though. The woods that the pyramid claims do not do much to challenge the sweetness, and I don’t get much spice out of it, so basically what I find in this fragrance is sweetness. I do think it’s a more refined fragrance than Le Male, and I rather like it, but, all things considered, it is just …sweet. 22 December 2007

Insanely sweet and strong, especially for a "unisex" fragrance. Smells like a cloying, gourmandy feminine fruity/floral to me rather than a unisex oriental. I think I detect a cool and perfumey hint of anise in there, but very sweet, almost more like liquorice. Not horrible in any way, just generic and overly sweet. 08 March 2007

This smells like perversion, and not necessarily in a bad way. It is really unique, but as the majority of my trips out of the house are to the shops with my kids, perhaps not the fragrance for me ;). 19 January 2007

I recently tried this one out at the department store and I wasn't hugely impressed. It is very, very sweet smelling. To me it resembles Le Male a lot in that they basically just took the sweet elements out of that cologne and isolate them and the product was this. It's nice and simple but way to sweet and doesn't have the masculine touch that Le Male posesses. The only plus about this one is that the 2 in one magnetic bottle is super cool. I won't be buying it though. 03 September 2006

I dont know what to think of this one. I feel like I have smelled it before. I like the topnote and the middlenote. But then the basenote seems a little bit to childish and even feminine. Not really me. benb 10 May 2006

Tricky one. Not on par with Classique or Le Male for sure, but interesting nevertheless, especially in the fatigued fragrance - climate of today. If there was a bubblegum with amber flavour, then this is what it would smell like. Very sweet, and ultimately too cloying for myself, with hints of cardamom. Probably somewhat more suited for the ladies, G2 is still definitely sampleworthy. 15 March 2006

A little disappoiment! This Gaultier2 is so-so. The bottle and the scent is too feminin, dry and light. Besides, the price is too high. Tired of JPG's scents. 16 February 2006

Smells like cookies or creamy cake to me. If it had a more masculine character (read: If it wasn't a unisex fragrance) I would have liked it better. On a woman, in the evening, yes. On me, no, I'll stick to Le Mâle (yes hate me for that). 24 January 2006

Sweet, sweet, sweet. Overall, my feeling is "eh"! The opening reminds me of Classique and the drydown is, ummm, well, a bit simple (read: boring). This one got swapped rather quickly... 19 October 2005
