A clean orange which fades quickly to musk. Simple and refreshing if a bit boring.

This is spot-on for blood orange. Very nice, very distinctive, good longevity, just a tad on the pricey side, though.

Sanguine just isn't special enough, as compared with other similar fragrances I've enjoyed. You're better off with New Orleans Bourbon French Parfum's Eleftorea, which maintains a soft/fresh citrus/floral mood throughout its reasonably long life. My clear preference in this scent category is Malle's Bigarade Concentree with its 100-watt top notes.

Venturing outside my flowery 'comfort zone', I've found that Sanguine is quite pleasant. Citrus and musk are not at the top of my wish list, but in this blend they are delicate and refreshing. Applied to the skin, musk dominates and the citrus fades too quickly. When applied to clothing, Sanguine's soapy fresh blood orange citrus lasts and lasts! I did say soapy. The citrus here is extremely clean, and bright, yet it remains subdued and lives in harmony with the musky base. Well balanced and user friendly, I'd recommend trying this for an easygoing change of pace.

Shiny and sparkly orange peel and citrus. This fizzy lemonade gets a bit on my nerves because I feel as if it's trying to be an eau de cologne but pokes in areas that isn't edc territory. Beautiful construction but it lacks details on the inside.

This one sparkles, glimmers, glows with exquisite delicacy and sophistication. Such a translucent and refined citrus fragrance: Pristinely clear sweetness from the blood oranges; just the right nano touch of citrus bitterness from the orange rinds; and the perfect depth of musk in the base. Sanguine is typical Keiko Mecheri creativity and sensitivity at its subtle best. It performs beautifully and with ease, and it does have very good longevity. Keiko Mecheri Sanguine takes its rightful place right up there with the most delicate, sophisticated, wonderful, feminine citrus scents of the world.
