Reviews of Calypso Gardenia| taliaseki TurkeyShow all reviews | I have strucked to the gardenia note in it and cannot move any further. A synthetic bitter gardenia note nearly as bad as Classic Gardenia by Dana. we have many Gardenia round here. 3rd November, 2009. |
![]() maggie United StatesShow all reviews | Very nice. Fresh, as Lizzie said, but still instantly recognizable as gardenia. Warm, womanly never offensive or trashy. Better than Chanel's (which is still one of their best), because Chanel's is a more complex, finetooled, almost berry-like scent. 16th February, 2007. |
![]() Lizzie Show all reviews | A chic, cosmopolitan gardenia. Fresh, well composed and evolving, not cloying or heady as one sometimes expects a gardenia fragrance to be. It opens with a provocatively spiced (Brazilian spice says Calypso East Hampton) Gardenia zested by touch of fresh citrus, warms to a heart of narcissus, jasmine and luscious peach blossom sweetened and rounded by vanilla and soft musk and revved up by Coriander, grounded and simultaneously given an aura of mystery by an elegant Vetiver. Quite nice. 22nd January, 2006. |
