Very likeable scent for me...not a must have, so I won't purchase a bottle, but would happily wear it if received as a gift. Enjoy the original, too. 08 November 2008

so sweet and powdery, smells absolutely delicious! the most prominent notes for me were the rose, amber and vanilla. Lasts ages and just gets stronger for the first few hours, dries down to more woody but still sweet rose notes 09 July 2007

Comparing Valentino V and Valentiono V Absolu, I do prefer Valentino V. These two perfumes are quite similar, IMHO. For the very first hour Valentino V Absolu is a tiny bit more beautiful on my skin, but it is for the next seven hours Valentino V is the most beautiful. Both perfumes are very wearable, so if you don´t want an as small perfumewardrobe as possible, you can have great joy owning both! These two quarter-cirkle-shaped bottles, one clear and one red, makes a lovely pair in a perfumewardrobe! Valention V Absolu gets a thumbs up from me! 06 May 2007

VA is very very sweet, very good logevity and good sillage. Sometimes, it’s too much. The roses and the fig here are very strong and I’m not too sure they make a good mix yet, the vanilla takes center stage early on and the amber becomes a quiet slave to it. I can’t even imagine how sweet this one migh have been if not for the presence of the grapefruit or the other top notes. This is more of a fall-winter time, night out scent. Doest it smell like V? yes, but only like a mother might smell like their daughter. That means to me, that there are some similarities but they can stand for very different scents for each one. It’s on the verge of being unelegant. On some skins, it can be a crash-and-burn. 10 February 2007

This is a great fragrance... starts off sparkling, moves into sweetness, and dries down sexy. To me, it's a "dress-up" scent-- not for casual or day wear-- good for a night out on the town. It projects quite a bit, so a light spritz should do it. (It is very noticeable, so if you like "neutral" or "light" fragrances this one is probably not for you.) 04 March 2006
