I can see this holds appeal for others, and I really want to like it, I do. However, it just smells too "medically" on my skin, but clearly that's not a problem for others, so give it a go. Also agree it would work best as a wintertime daytime frag, imagine coming off the piste, removing your snow goggles, and settling down to a nice Irish coffee and a croque monsieur in the apres ski hut, with this wafting around your nostrils. I found this (on sale, 10 pounds!) at Tesco's (a large chain of supermarkets in England), and thought it sounded promising (and a bargain), so gave it a try. The drydown does get less "medically" but it takes about 3 hours to do so on my skin. Was going to give it a middling thumb thing, but as the review has gone on, it now definietely gets a thumbs up! Almost "mentholly" in its freshness on the dry down, which gives the impression of "coldness". Oh, I do like making up words ;o) 30 April 2009

Issey Miyake L'Eau Bleue Pour Homme revisited, if you like that one then fine, but too sharp for me. 05 April 2009

This smells like Lauren's Safari but with a touch of mint and much less of the pine disinfectant, a bit like mixing Safari and Paco Rabanne PH and missing the nose wrinkling bits. Understated stuff. I return to say I still think it is an original fragrance, much less in your face than Issey Bleu. It reminds me of snow and mint in the woods and cold. It can if overapplied though become cloying, the longevity is outstanding. I've found I can't wear it every day though. Still wonderful stuff. 05 July 2008

Recently sampled this very hard to find fragrance. I do understand the Safari comparison (obviously a eucalyptus connection), but there is another juice out there even more similar to Nicole Farhi Homme - Issey Miyake L'Eau Bleue Pour Homme. They share the same sharp, astringent opening and that slightly sour, herbal, woody thing going on. I guess that doesnīt sound too good, but it actually works great, creating a complex impression, almost like a cold forest. The tea tree is easy to detect like the others pointed out but I think the fragrance would have benefited from a bit of softening of that particular note. Personally I associate that specific smell with medicinal anti-acne products. It has to be said though, Nicole Farhi is a very interesting and abstract fragrance. Was greatly surprised by itīs avant-garde presence - cool! 09 May 2007

An amazing scent. I fully agree with CoL that this one sticks out of the mass of designer blah in a very very good way.I tried it at Heathrow and it was the only perfume to leave a lasting impression. Luckily aquired some on ebay.uk (I believe it is not available in Germany) The notes given are tea tree, lime, armoise, white pepper, birch leaf, snow bark, white musk and fresh patchouli. Snow bark I suppose is the white bark of the snow gum, a relative of eucalyptus. This together with the other cool, bitter ingredients blends with spice and musk into what I would call a Northern Oriental (well, Farhi, of Algerian ethnicity, lives in London, so that makes sense, no?). It has a piney- foresty coolness (A Scandinavian winter wood indeed) as well as a gently sweet orientalness, as in Envy, Jaipur or Jivago 7 elements, though without any heavy vanilla or tonka. The combination is unique, exciting, and smells very classy and masculine. Highly recommended. 14 February 2007

What an interestingly different scent! I don't know if its the mention of "snow bark" and "white musk" but this scent really does smell "wintery". Not in a heavy oriental way, but actually like a winters day! I put it down to the tea tree note that gives it the "cold" feel. Unusal scent with a slightly astringent opening, quickly warmed up by the white pepper and armoise I guess. Give it a try, its great to have a scent that aint a clone! 15 August 2006
