I adore violets, unfortunately "insolence" has nothing to do with my signature note. It's something plastic that people may think violets smell like, definitely artificial. It was a big disappointment, since it dried out showing a sour fake fruit base that gave me massive headaches.
A pity, it doesn't even faintly remind of Guerlain's glorious past.

This is Guerlain???

Normally I do not mind violets, and I am even more intrigued by "lush" descriptions, but for Goodness sake, Insolence is rough, harsh and, ultimately, cheap. Overly sweet, unnatural, full of pretentiousness and totally lacking the "it" factor.

What does color pink have to do with it?

Big, no, huuuuuuuuge disappointment.

I didn't get any red fruit from this - just overwhelming violet. Given that I don't like violet, this just wasn't going to work for me.

Terrible. Sorry Guerlain. This perfume sticks too everything, it goes in your nose, your mouth etc. Even a little bit makes me sick (like guerlain-lover experienced) It's very much like Heure Bleue, which has the same effect on me. Too strong, too sweet, too everything.

I was very disappointed. I thought it would be like one of the Guerlain classics but I was so wrong. I smell was pungent artifical violet which reminds me of my pencil eraser back in my primary school days. It has a very good staying power and I believed this is one of those spaceage scent which goes very well with a vinyl or rubber catsuit.

Insolence really smells like an imperinence to me... so its name matches its effect. It does not have anything in common with the classical Guerlain fragrances I love (Mitsoukou or Samsara), but is is a very strong, poison-like mixture of oriental and flowery notes which gave me such a headache I had to wash of the perfume immediately... but it does not come off quickly- you really have to soak in a bath-tub for 1 h to make it go awy... it is meant to last and last....
not at all subtle or refined, but loud and repulsive to me!

Ick, Ick, Ick!!! This is the most disgusting thing I have ever smelled. And Guerlain is my favorite fragrance house! I own 5 different Guerlains in my collection of about 15 fragrances, and this is not at all like other Guerlains. I knew it would be youthful, but I am 26, and it's too young for me. In fact, this is not just youthful; I never would've liked it. It is a sugary sweet violet-y headache in a bottle.
