Reviews of Very Cool for Men| Sunsetspawn United StatesShow all reviews | No thanks T, this one's a bust. It's a metallic, unpleasant mojito (I guess) accord. I don't really see this fitting in with TB's tropical motif, as the smell just becomes off putting. I was actually kind of grateful that the sillage and longevity were weak when I tested it. 27th July, 2011. |
| Redbeard United StatesShow all reviews | An initially lemony aquatic, sharp and almost soapy, but with a nice amount of underlying wood in the background. Sniffing the topnotes up close, in spite of the slight burn, is truly exhilarating: bracing like an Irish Spring-type soap with mint, grasses and grapefruit, and a surprising lack of sweetness for a designer aquatic. I don't know if I get fatigued to it quickly, or if it really is too topnote-heavy, but I find it weakening significantly after only a few minutes. Still, what's remaining is a lightly woody, watery grass scent...very natural and unwaveringly maintaining its un-sweetness. I love this reedy, bamboo-y dry grass aura in all the other fragrances where I've found it, though I get more tea and more dry soapiness alongside it in Very Cool. Thus, I will still happily give it a thumbs up in spite of its weakness. I wish all tropical-themed fragrances could feel this natural. 27th June, 2011. |

![]() RCavs BrazilShow all reviews | TB Very cool is another nice casual aquatic fragrance. It starts spicy-peppery (without being too harsh-annoying) and then progressively gets woody and "melony" as if It was an aqua version of claiborne Mambo. When pepper fades, It becomes something like Aramis Cool Blend with a woody tone. It's pleasant in its simplicity although its staying power is really weak.Just for aquatics lovers! 4th April, 2011. |
| wggmn3 United StatesShow all reviews | Its clear, crisp color nearly tells the whole tale: a no-nonsense water aroma, a relaxed, fresh yet sensuous water...Along with a few other aromas it dries down to the closest thing to clean, clear water that I've ever smelled in a fragrance (at least when I have sprayed it on my fore-arm). Yes, “cleanliness” might be another good term...Some say it is "run of the mill" but either I'm too inexperienced or this fragrance is too simple for, or simply too subtle for them (of course it depends on your skin much less your nose and, for that matter I also believe, it depends on where you're from)...And yes, I can hear some, if not many, of you facetiously asking,"Hey, if you think Very Cool comes close to the smell of pure water, why don't you simply turn on the faucet and splash your face to your heart's content, or take a shower, or jump into that pool?" All I can possibly say (somewhat facetiously) is, "read no further, and cut me a break, pleeezzz". 11th October, 2010. |
![]() fitch256 United StatesShow all reviews | Not much different than what's already been said, minty and boozy upfront then a fruity patchouli dry down. The bottom of this smells almost identical to CK One Summer 2010 edition, I'm trying to find a difference between the two, and only get a faint pina colada like note to tell the difference. Longevity seems pretty good on this, better compared to Set Sail St. Barts. 27th August, 2010. |
