Reviews of Marc Jacobs Autumn Splash Violet| trojanhorse GermanyShow all reviews | This isn't a real "violet" fragrance, like Fahrenheit or Grey Flannel - it has a powdery, almond-like smell of heliotrope and sandalwood. But who cares ... I like that radiant fragrance, because it is so confident. Can be worn as well by a man. 14th November, 2009. (Last Edited: 27th November, 2009.) |
| ubuandibeme United StatesShow all reviews | Ahhhh, the quirky sweet and powdery note of violet...I adore this version, and it is very appropriate for the cooler midwestern Autumn weather! Decidedly feminine, smelling reminiscent of Carons' champagne bath fragrance. You know, these "splash" series frags from MJ are meant to be light. Refreshing. Not like a perfume or extrait. They softly impart a hint of fragrance, and I for one am glad to own a few! Thumbs up, for achieving what it was created to achieve. 19th November, 2008. |

![]() greengrl Abu DhabiShow all reviews | This is one of my favorite scents from Marc Jacobs. I wear this almost everyday and always get compliments on it. It strikes me more as a spring fragrance rather than autumn because it is light enough for me to wear on warm days. It is a light and airy scent that is sure to please the nose. 8th August, 2008. |
![]() Show all reviews | I was SO disappointed with this one – forever looking for the perfect violet fragrance, I was hoping this one would be a modern, fresh take. Instead, on me it begins at the worst end of sweet, even musty and slightly sweaty, and only gets a little more pleasant towards the end of the drydown, when it has almost disappeared (maybe that's why?). I love a good violet scent, really detest this one. Shame! 23rd January, 2007. |
| iMaverick Show all reviews | The most feminine of the three Jacobs "Autumn" scents. It didn't impress me too much. Powdery without something to support it's floral qualities better. I think simplicity was the aim of this scent, but there's no accord or note to make it alluring or sexy. 13rd October, 2006. |
