It is clean, delicate and elegant, but I don't know what is so 'Soir' about this one. I used it with great pleasure, but also every time I reached for it, I got annoyed by how 'light' it was. My skin soaks up fragrance and almost digests/discards it. I had to apply embarrassing amounts of this scent, because every time after ten minutes, it just vanished completely.

To me, this is perfect for those 'fragrance-less' days after using very heavy scents for a couple of days non-stop, but the longevity is really really lacking. It is almost a little sadistic when you think of it: you want to experience the delicate and rich layers, and those sparkling and clean notes separately, but there is almost no time. The frag's lightness does not give you a chance to make it a personal and intimate one.

Let me tell you, I will honestly pick this up again sometime, because this has the potential to be that 'light' scent every guy must have in his wardrobe all the time, even if you don't enjoy that particular cologne category all that much. This is much better than any other light and airy scents out there, however, I wish its sheer elegance were something I could get to experience and walk around in a little longer.

Its notes are Darjeeling tea note in its heart, fresh and airy papyrus, a cooler-than-most amber, and a bergamot citrus as to be expected. I cannot see what makes this a sexy, or an evening scent. To me, it is a light day-wear.

Ten times better than D&G Light Blue PH and YSL L'Homme, but still... I can appreciate simplicity, but give me the expected Bulgari quality that comes with reasonable longevity.

Bulgari must like tea. It's ALL I ever get from their scents. So far, this one is at least nice smelling and doesn't kill my nose with pepper (like Bulgari pour Homme). Alas, it smells like paper with some tea spilled on it. And, yes, I did try this on my skin and not from a card!....kinda meh.

This is the least citrusy compared to PH or Extreme PH for that matter. But the greatness that comes from this series is the spicey sweet scent base of dried darjeeling tea leaves. I somehow prefer the Extreme most. though this was good enough for me to indulge in another bottle. this is the spicier version of the PH, not too mcuh difference.

i agree with jude c. wonderful and original but too light. an extreme version is needed.

I wish I could give this one a thumbs up, because I do find it very original, given the fact that it also had to be related to the standard Bulgari pour Homme that preceded the Soir-version more than a decade ago. However, if I'm very honest, I can't give it more than a neutral rating.

When you spray this on, you really smell the papyrus note, lingering on a base of musk and some tea, far away. Papyrus is a light wood, and it smells luxurious. The sillage and longetivity however, are worlds apart. Longetivity is excellent. I can still smell this frag on my clothes the next day. Sillage however is another story, and this is a scent that stays very close to the skin after 5 minutes. I can imagine wearing this scent to the theatre or even on a romantic dinner out, wearing a suit or smart casual style.

Whether you like this scent or not will depend on if you like the dominant papyrus note. If you end up being neutral about it, like me, you will be neutral about this scent.

Just too subtle. It is not overpowering at all and very similar to Mania. High quality juice that is very sexy, but not a high-powered scent at all.

This fragrance is nice but weak to the extreme and lasts half an hour on anyone's skin. I would not waste my money on near - water sillage. Bulgari should have some pride and make higher quality fragrances. Bulgari are an upmarket, expensive jewellers. Would they make jewellery that is sold on a market stall? Still, for what it is it has a nice sweet smell, slightly spicy and ending up ambery. While it lasts. A neutral cos of that, otherwise a neg.

About 3 months ago a fragrance seller told me about a new Bulgari fragrance she smelled in a training course, a very good one according to her. Following her recommendation I wanted to try it, but on every store I ask for a try they never had a tester bottle. One day I went to a department store to try Terre D'Hermes, I found the dependent had a Bulgari Pour Homme Soir tester. As it was almost night, I asked him to spray it on paper instead on my skin... that way I could check it that night and the next day.

When smelled on paper at the store and at home, it didn't give me a good first impression. A strong odor, like a bitter flower or some kind of plant dominated the top notes... somewhat like Zara Man or an Axe/Lynx deodorant. This note faded later, but it was always present that night. Just at the next day the note went away, and more elegant base notes of tea, soft wood and a bit of ambar could be felt.

I search for the notes in Internet, and a "lifescent" note figured on it, along with darjeeling tea and guaiac wood. Could be that strong bitter odor the lifescent note??? On skin that bitter note lasted about 2 or 3 hours, latter it went to tea and dirty earth notes (not in the same way of Terre d'Hermes)... but that note was really annoying. Apart from that note, the tea notes wasn't bad, but you must wait about 3 hours for this. For an office or evening use and for an age range of 30-40 years old.

The initial blast is very reminiscent of the other two Bulgari PH, but soon after this one moves off on its own into slightly softer, more powdery, soapier territory. Unfortunately, that doesn't help it all that much, but instead makes it seem less interesting and less unique than its two partners. As such, this is my least favorite of the Bulgari PH formulations. Get the others first...
