Compared to the Original and Extreme versions, Soir is much more complex. Floral and woody notes are what one would probably notice most in Soir. Another prominent feature is the slightly soapy and creamy white musk (very similar to the one in CK Be), that gives Soir its smooth texture. The spices, tea and citrus play a much subdued role in this composition.

I really love the original so I had high hopes for Soir. But all I got out of it was a scent reminiscent of milk tea laced with a little spice. As discrete as many of Bulgari's tea-based scents, Soir somehow leaves me unsatisfied and looking for more.

Reminds me of Azzaro Chrome, but with less metalic hint in it. It is quite elegant, longveity and sillage are quite good, at least on my skin. It is not loud at all, but subtly reminds you and others about its presence.

A very light, clean and refreshing rendition of the original. The tea note is most distinguishable to me with this one. The fragrance overall is indeed discreet. I like this in a fragrance because it doesn't scream "I'm walking in the room" when I wear it. Again, its an intimate fragrance that stays close to the skin and is for the more close encounter. I think this version, the original and the extreme are all very excellent fragrances that anyone who is considering a good, non-offensive fragrance for work use, or just to freshen up a little bit. IMO, Bulgari scents in general are very well put together with the exception of Blu, which rubs me the wrong way for whatever reason.

Every time I thought I had Soir worked out, it shifted to a new phase. Rather than allow me to enjoy some new accord or variation, it proceeded with haste to something new. There is much to enjoy here, but as a whole, I was left mildly irritated and disappointed. There is a delightfully dry accord discernable after a few hours, that thankfully does linger long enough to enjoy. The twist of papyrus and tea lends a sweet yet discreet air to BPH Soir, an obvious candidate for office wear.

This is cologne contains a very sophisticated and appealing scent. Right out of the bottle, I get the smell of citrus, some spices, and that Bvlgari signature of tea (in this case Darjeeling Tea). The citrus in this is really well done and it is accented by the spice and tea. Though the citrus dominates the top, it is a luscious, lemony citrus beginning. This aroma then transitions to a spicy, woodier aroma, yet the smell of tea is still present. Finally, the scent finishes with a delicate smell of papyrus, amber and musk, but my my nose keenly detects papyrus, musk, light citrus, and a little spice. Thiswoody oriental is enjoyable but all together too light. Even if sprayed generously, which I do not recommend, this fragrance still lingers very close to the skin, and even still it does not make alot of noise. This is perfect for instances when one does not want to cause too much trouble, but inappropriate for drawing attention. Bvlgari is the master of creating discrete fragrances; unfortunately, few people appreciate his style. BPH Soir lasts well on my skin, surviving approx. 6-7 hrs.

I really love this one. Yes it is very subtle, it isn't a loud fragrance that hits your nostrils with force. But that's its charm and it does a great job of creating a lovely, pleasant, clean, elegant scent which I personally enjoy. The papyrus and tea notes give this something extra and work perfectly with the other ingridients. It's not a wafting, in your face fragrance for sure, but it's perfect for what it is.

This scent is one that has really grown on me. It is just so comfortable to wear in a suit - it wears close, but I keep catching myself sniffing my wrist with it on. It is discreet, but lasts all day on me. For me, it is the best of the Bvlgari PHs, although I have only tried Extreme once.

Nice smell. Very clean and light. There is one note that is nice. Anise maybe? Lasts fairly long on me, about 4 hours. Overall, a good fragrance.

A clean scent, with an excellent tea note. I've not tried that many fragrances with tea notes but I must say this is one of the better ones, with good execution. As with most Bulgari scents, it is subtle, and longevity is just so-so (I would say about 3-4 hours). I think it is more an office fragrance than anything else, as it does not impose on the people around you.

I purchased Bulgari Soir a few weeks ago and wore it for the first time to a "black tie" affair last Saturday night in NYC. What a dissapointment !!! Even though I applied more then enough fragrance, it only lasts for about 30mins. Wearing this or nothing is the same thing. Guys, don't waste your money on this one because it doesn't last.

It is clean, delicate and elegant, but I don't know what is so 'Soir' about this one. I used it with great pleasure, but also every time I reached for it, I got annoyed by how 'light' it was. My skin soaks up fragrance and almost digests/discards it. I had to apply embarrassing amounts of this scent, because every time after ten minutes, it just vanished completely.

To me, this is perfect for those 'fragrance-less' days after using very heavy scents for a couple of days non-stop, but the longevity is really really lacking. It is almost a little sadistic when you think of it: you want to experience the delicate and rich layers, and those sparkling and clean notes separately, but there is almost no time. The frag's lightness does not give you a chance to make it a personal and intimate one.

Let me tell you, I will honestly pick this up again sometime, because this has the potential to be that 'light' scent every guy must have in his wardrobe all the time, even if you don't enjoy that particular cologne category all that much. This is much better than any other light and airy scents out there, however, I wish its sheer elegance were something I could get to experience and walk around in a little longer.

Its notes are Darjeeling tea note in its heart, fresh and airy papyrus, a cooler-than-most amber, and a bergamot citrus as to be expected. I cannot see what makes this a sexy, or an evening scent. To me, it is a light day-wear.

Ten times better than D&G Light Blue PH and YSL L'Homme, but still... I can appreciate simplicity, but give me the expected Bulgari quality that comes with reasonable longevity.

Bulgari must like tea. It's ALL I ever get from their scents. So far, this one is at least nice smelling and doesn't kill my nose with pepper (like Bulgari pour Homme). Alas, it smells like paper with some tea spilled on it. And, yes, I did try this on my skin and not from a card!....kinda meh.

A very original upper-class scent. It should be for evening use, maybe a date, as it does impress.

Very elegant scent, slightly more oriental in feel than the the original PH and Extreme, but still retains the trademark Bvlgari subtlety. I find them all very appealing and sexy. Lots of people complain about Bvlgari scents being too transparent, but they are designed that way. My boyfriend wears Extreme and Soir almost exclusively, and I can smell them on him hours later, even though he can't. Besides, you don't always want a scent that is going to shout to the world, and for those times, Bvlgari is perfect.

I wish I could give this one a thumbs up, because I do find it very original, given the fact that it also had to be related to the standard Bulgari pour Homme that preceded the Soir-version more than a decade ago. However, if I'm very honest, I can't give it more than a neutral rating.

When you spray this on, you really smell the papyrus note, lingering on a base of musk and some tea, far away. Papyrus is a light wood, and it smells luxurious. The sillage and longetivity however, are worlds apart. Longetivity is excellent. I can still smell this frag on my clothes the next day. Sillage however is another story, and this is a scent that stays very close to the skin after 5 minutes. I can imagine wearing this scent to the theatre or even on a romantic dinner out, wearing a suit or smart casual style.

Whether you like this scent or not will depend on if you like the dominant papyrus note. If you end up being neutral about it, like me, you will be neutral about this scent.

It's a fresh, sweet in a good way sent that lingers alitle close to the skin. Not overwhelming, but elegant and classy. Some people might get a whiff of it if they come close to you, but don't expect it to project very far.

But, for an evening scent, it's pretty comforting and nice. The teanote can be a litle bit hard to detect at times, and If I do get it, it smells like a cool black chinese tea. No earl grey, that's for sure.

Staying power seems fine to me, I could still smell it 6-7 hours later on my skin. But it does, as has been mentioned before, stay close to the skin. Is it a must have? No. Is it classy and elegant? Indeed it is.

Just too subtle. It is not overpowering at all and very similar to Mania. High quality juice that is very sexy, but not a high-powered scent at all.

This fragrance is nice but weak to the extreme and lasts half an hour on anyone's skin. I would not waste my money on near - water sillage. Bulgari should have some pride and make higher quality fragrances. Bulgari are an upmarket, expensive jewellers. Would they make jewellery that is sold on a market stall? Still, for what it is it has a nice sweet smell, slightly spicy and ending up ambery. While it lasts. A neutral cos of that, otherwise a neg.

I liked this one a lot, and wore it for days at a time, only i kept thinking to myself "i wish the bamboo note -which it says papyrus , but to me it smelled like fresh bamboo- was stronger, more longlasting".
So there you have it, it's a very fresh scent, demure and masculine, but to be called Soir, it's more of a day scent.
I wore this one also with Eau d'Orange Verte on my other hand and, as i expected ,BPHSoir beat the Hermès one in longevity by a looong shot.

I very much like this one. I find it cold…I find it subtle, and its coolness gives it “distance” which contributes a subtlety that is elegance personified. The tea note is clean and slightly chilly — and it is a trifle more exotic than the tea notes in Bulgari Pour Homme and BPH Extreme. This tea note is counter-pointed with the papyrus that serves, I think, as a warm but olfactorily neutral foil to the cool tea note — its neutrality is the secret of the accord: The papyrus doesn’t add as much of an actual olfactory note as it creates an intriguing warm texture to contrast to the cold tea note. I love the result: Warm and cool at the same time, a bit exotic, minimal sweetness, and much more transparent than it would have been with two contrasting olfactory notes vying for the same space. The result is an almost perfect masculine translucency — incorporating cold dominance and warm neutrality, and then culminating as a whisper soft, whisper sweet amber drydown. Sophisticated, excellent longevity, eminently discreet, truly masculine — I find Bulgari Pour Homme Soir enticing, and I find it as much more wearable than as just an evening scent.

Smells a lot like Chrome by Azzaro which is an overused scent. I would expect this one to follow suit based on the smell and the name.

I love it. It isnt too this or too that. Its a cologne! It smells good! It smells GREAT! Its spicy and mysterious in a way. You can say its a bit boring, but its just simple! Its not overpowering, but not light. Blah! Just perfect!
(BUT! it doesnt last THAT long on me...still...)

I actually like this one, though not a lot of people do. I guess it depends on your skin. If you like a nice tea scent this is quite nice. Not the greatest compared to other Bulgari scents, however, if those didn't work for you, this might, it did for me.

About 3 months ago a fragrance seller told me about a new Bulgari fragrance she smelled in a training course, a very good one according to her. Following her recommendation I wanted to try it, but on every store I ask for a try they never had a tester bottle. One day I went to a department store to try Terre D'Hermes, I found the dependent had a Bulgari Pour Homme Soir tester. As it was almost night, I asked him to spray it on paper instead on my skin... that way I could check it that night and the next day.

When smelled on paper at the store and at home, it didn't give me a good first impression. A strong odor, like a bitter flower or some kind of plant dominated the top notes... somewhat like Zara Man or an Axe/Lynx deodorant. This note faded later, but it was always present that night. Just at the next day the note went away, and more elegant base notes of tea, soft wood and a bit of ambar could be felt.

I search for the notes in Internet, and a "lifescent" note figured on it, along with darjeeling tea and guaiac wood. Could be that strong bitter odor the lifescent note??? On skin that bitter note lasted about 2 or 3 hours, latter it went to tea and dirty earth notes (not in the same way of Terre d'Hermes)... but that note was really annoying. Apart from that note, the tea notes wasn't bad, but you must wait about 3 hours for this. For an office or evening use and for an age range of 30-40 years old.

The initial blast is very reminiscent of the other two Bulgari PH, but soon after this one moves off on its own into slightly softer, more powdery, soapier territory. Unfortunately, that doesn't help it all that much, but instead makes it seem less interesting and less unique than its two partners. As such, this is my least favorite of the Bulgari PH formulations. Get the others first...

This actually lasts very long on my skin. It's a nice sensual scent that I'd definitely wear on a date. I don't think this is strictly for evening use only, but I won't wear this on a hot sunny day. This is a great, complicated scent and I suggest you try it out for yourself.

I agree, although I prefer the Pour Homme Extreme version. Sometimes I can't understand what these guys are thinking. Does someone know why they take the original Extreme and pour Homme out. Apparently the company ordered the unsold bottles back, which i quite weird and replaced it with this new boring soapy smell. hope they'll change their mind

A recycled Bulgari PH, without the *clean and classy* part of the original and with an extra dash of spice. Merely a passable mid-market scent.

A very common comment at this site: how great the original Bvlgari pour Homme is, and how much greater it would be if it were stronger and had better longevity. So what do Bvlgari do? They put out a weaker, blander version with even less staying power. I don't get it. What's worse is, local department stores are stocking this and no longer stocking the original. And it gets worse still - I was just informed that the same stores are no longer stocking Bvlgari Black or Blv Notte. Yet they continue with the boring, bland Blv. I guess it's just further evidence that bland sells.
