   |  Soon after applying, I really loved Crème Brûlée – it certainly smelt like the real thing. But after a few minutes, it turned rancid on my skin. I can’t explain it but it just reeked in a bad way. At some point, the composition managed to pull itself together but the final straw came when a buttery egg accord unexpectedly emerged. Crème Brûlée now smelt raw (in a foody way) rather than delicious. Also, the drydown eventually smelt of butter, with a hint of caramelized sugar lurking in the background.Oh, did I happen to mention that I wasn’t impressed?    | I love vanilla, but soon (like, 5 minutes?!) after applying this initially yummy sweet foody caramelized vanilla fragrance it turned to plastic creme brulee. A fake, vinyl-y accord took over and completely obliterated the natural scent that first emerged. It must be hard to do a really good sweet gourmande fragrance without risking the fate of all food that is not eaten--spoilage! Too bad. 11 October 2008 |
 |  Smells divine! It is the fragrance they put in the Creme Brulee Body Souffle, which I own and love. Sweet, sugary, carmelized, this one is definately a gourmand! After sitting a bit on my skin it took on an almost sweet flowery hint. I love this. A must try for any sweet vanilla lovers. 15 June 2008 |
