Reviews of Quasar Fire for Men

Genre: Woods

Quick! Somebody put it out!

Brisk citrus, white flowers and resinous cedar introduce Quasar Fire, joined quickly by smoky lavender. The citrus fades in just an instant, leaving a sweet/aromatic woody accord that’s admirably soft and suave. The astringent quality of the cedar (cypress) and aromatics lend just enough edge to keep the combination from smelling altogether flat. An intensifying powdery note molds Quasar Fire into a soapier scent as it develops, and the resulting accord seems determined to visit the local barbershop, but it never makes it there.

Inside of an hour Quasar Fire ha shed its sharper aromatics and floral notes to become a powdery soft cedar-based skin scent. The lost aromatics leave the scent disappointingly bland. The soap hangs around, but the pungency that balanced it earlier on is sorely missed. Where “fire” comes in to any of this is beyond me. It smells a lot like pencil shavings topped with saccharine, and might well have been improved if someone struck a match and lit it up.

Hm, this one is so good! It reminds me a lot Givenchy's Xeryous Rouge, but not too strong. This fragrance is perfect for the night, too strong and very long-lasting.

Middle Notes: nutmeg, ginger, pepper, coriander, cardamom, star anis, salvia, cedar leaves, basil, saffron
