Reviews of Miss Charming ![]() killerrabbit Show all reviews | Opening with a burst of musky powder it settles down quickly to a nice garden rose. Miss Charming has minimal sillage but a nice skin scent for a couple of hours. It is a well done, light sweetish floral. 15th November, 2011. |
| sherapop United StatesShow all reviews | A light fruity-rose perfume with more rose than fruit, MISS CHARMING reminds me a bit of Annick Goutal QUEL AMOUR (which in addition to being fruitier also offers a big dose of rose geranium to back up the rose) and a bit less of Ineke BRIAR ROSE (which has a deep, wine-like fruitiness). The fruits in this composition, in contrast, are very low key. 15th October, 2011. |

It would be a nice fragrance for someone who wants to have some training wheels for roses, or who doesn't like stronger rose fragrances. It is a very powdery patchouli and fruit style rose that has a lovely soft and slightly woody drydown. At the opening, it smells very much like others in the popular family of amber/patchouli roses like Stella or Bond's Bryant Park. I think Miss Charming would be a nice more spicy step up for those who's favorite rose is Lancome's Mille et Une Rose. Miss Charming is indeed very nice, powdery, pretty, and easy to wear. For me, I'll stick with those rose-patchoulis with a little more oomph, or my favorite aldehyde, rose, sandalwood - Annick Goutal's Heure Exquise. (Everyone will think I'm crazy until they would have the opportunity to smell the extreme drydown of HE against the middle notes of Miss Charming...very much the same with soft, warm, powdery rose with a hint of woods.) 20th March, 2009. |

| lizzie_j United StatesShow all reviews | A rose is a rose is a rose? Not in Miss Charming, which opens as a soapy, slightly sharp, mildly dusty rose. Once it settles down on the skin, the sharpness softens, though it stays soapy, like roses suspended in very thin and tenuous bubbles of dishwashing liquid. The strawberry is muted, not overly sweet, and gives the fragrance a bit of pucker, as does the lychee. I love the contrast among the soft powdery Moroccan rose, the juicy strawberry, and the sharp/sweet lychee. It works beautifully, and the three notes dance on my skin! Just lovely. 21st August, 2008. |
