Midnight Fantasy (2007)

I admit that this perfume IS actually super sweet (almost candy sweet.) It really doesn't seem very dark and doesn't necessarily make me think of an evening fragrance, but I absolutely LOVE it! I like it more than the original Fantasy which I thought seemed a little overwhelming and too strong for normal everyday wear. It's also better than Circus Fantasy which I thought smelled too much like raspberries (to an extent that seemed weird for a perfume.) Unfortunately I can't recall what Hidden Fantasy smells like so I can't compare it to that fragrance at the moment. I absolutely love this one though! It also smells like raspberries but I prefer the way the notes are blended in this one. The sour cherry note also adds a little bit of tartness to balance the sweetness somewhat (to me it seems balanced anyway.) I personally love this one and I would probably buy a bottle of it, especially now that the weather is colder. I might not like it as much it hot weather, but right now it seems heavenly!

I woud give this a 3.5 stars if I could. It is very sweet and candyish, but I like it that way (though I don't like regular Fantasy much--the Jasmine in that one comes out on me, and is too much). I get berries, vanilla, and a little muskiness...but after about a half-hour it becomes overwhelmingly freesia on me, and stays that way for hours. It isn't BAD but I wanted the other notes to stick around. I sprayed it on in the afternoon, and in the morning I still get a little bit of sweet vanilla hanging around, which is very pleasant. It IS a little too synthetic-smelling overall...but I may have to pick up a small bottle because it is very easy to wear.

I tried very hard to like this one because of the many positive reviews i had read online.

I. Hated. It.

It's an unusual blend of fruity smells that, to me, reminded me so much of an intoxicating syrup. It is quite sickening and reminds me of cheap imitation perfumes.

Eventually, i sold this on eBay to someone else who was happy to purchase it.

I think this fragrance would appeal to someone in their teeny boppy years who hasn't had much exposure to a wide range of fragrances as yet.

I loved the bottle design, very elegant and blingy on the dresser table. Too bad this was the only positive thing i could say about it.

This fragrance is in no way similiar to Fantasy. It's much darker and fruitier. You can really smell the plum and sour cherry in this fragrance, but I don't find it sickening at all.

The only time I do find this scent sickening is when I try wearing this during the day. Because this fragrance is so intensely fruity, I can't help feeling nauseous and overwhelmed. A girl on the bus the other day had doused herself in Midnight Fantasy and I heard quite a few passengers whisper to one another about how strong and headache inducing this scent was in an inclosed space.

However, when worn on a cool night, the scent changes and becomes something that I love. I rather enjoy wearing Midnight Fantasy when I go out at night with my friends, and it goes down well in a nightclub atmosphere.

I find the scent to be very sensual, seductive and intriguing. I always feel mysterious and sexy when wearing this. Another added bonus is that the scent is long-lasting, so it won't have vanished after the night is over.

Midnight Fantasy is quite nice. It's just blueberries and sweetness on me. I wouldnt buy it again, but i dont mind wearing it. I like foody smells but this is just a little too childish for me.

There must be something wrong with my nose. Everyone on every site posts the same comment ... smells like sweet blueberries and cream. When I first tested it, I got a very faint whiff of berries but that disappeared almost immediately. What I was left with in the drydown was a floral scent, nice enough, but nothing extraordinary. Since fruity fragrances - both the sweet and the refreshing kinds - are my thing, Midnight Fantasy was a letdown. It does have staying power. I'm rating it neutral since it's not a bad scent, it's just not my cup of tea.
