| When I first smelled this I was actually waiting for the notes to appear so I could test it. I really got nothing from this. It is wayyyyyyyyyyy to light on my skin to the point nothing pops up! It is like spraying water with a hint of NOTHING! 26 August 2008 |

| The biggest disappointment is not that Light Blue Pour Homme has nothing in common with the original Light Blue (which is true – they are not at all alike). The biggest disappointment is that LBPH is a glaringly mediocre fragrance. I would guess that Dolce and Gabbana decided to make this their entry into the aquatic field – seems a little late for that – aquatics are so ‘90s. One would think that with all the aquatic competition that D & G had the opportunity to study, they could have produced a better, more interesting scent than this. It opens citrus and coniferous with a hint of rosemary – it appears to be meant as aquatic: light, clear, non synthetic, and even more characterless than the other aquatics. The pepper and rosewood listed for the middle do not appear to my nose. And for the base I get almost no oakmoss or incense: I get musk – a very light, clean, and short lasting musk. Light Blue Pour Homme is an uninspired, mediocre attempt to play on the deserving popularity of the original Light Blue. There are many better, longer lasting aquatics out there. This one is a waste of time. 23 August 2008 |
