This is another addition to the massive pool of generic citrus and woody-based scents out there. The whole citrus-musk/wood theme has been overdone since CK One. The opening citrus notes fade away pretty fast to reveal a creamier woody base. Nothing spectacular.

I heard a lot of compliments about this frag. So I gave it a try. Not once, but on 4 separate occasions under different conditions. I tried it on the blotter paper. I tried it on my skin. Under cool air-conditioned office environment. And in the warm tropical outdoors. The only conclusion I came to was: what was all that fuss about? If inoffensive, mass market appeal (i.e. sales) the objectives D&G was going for, it has definitely succeeded. I have to agree with Miles here, this is mediocre at best.

MDHiggins, I have to disagree with you, brother;
I don't mind a trendy scent (Acqua di Gio, Issey), as long as it has something to offer. Light Blue is completely unoriginal and, dare I say, bland - it may as well have been made by the Ed Hardy line.
Mediocrity should never be celebrated - even when it comes in a pretty package, but such is the case with D&G Light Blue - a true disappointment!

This is a great scent for summer days! Lots of mixed reviews here, but gets a thumbs up from me.

Not a bad scent, just not very special or distinctive and there are better similar citrus type scents out there for the same money.

Not an improvement on the original. More like a lighter, sportier version. Not has powerful or overbearing as the original, which can be a good thing...but this isn't any better. I think the consensus is that this one is not a step in the right direction for what the original was. I think they may have been trying to put an oriental spin in it, but didn't quite accomplish it. Not bad, but ain't great. Still a thumbs up though.
