Smells nothing like Armani Code or Brit. Same texture and feel but fragrances in the same family (fresh oriental) feel the same and can smell the same. Zegna Intenso smells more like Lolita Lempicka au Masculin minus the anise accord. Zegna Intenso is more sweet and brighter than Armani Code and not a fuzzy powdery like Brit. Armani Code is a darker, deeper woodier scent.

The differences don't make or break this fragrance. Zegna Intenso is a smooth fragrance with a rich amber base and a not-so-bitter-as-other-frags tonka bean accord. Smooth orange note on top but the "intenso" part is really its longevity of the amber and tonka bean. Good. I'd wear it more than once.

Clayton nailed it; this really is a pile of fruity-ambery nonsense - the kind of stuff that is not in itself objectionable, but that is -- as a design statement -- lamentable once you appreciate how mechanical, cynical and uninspired this school of perfumery of the last decade is. Like its other synthetic robot-clone fruity-ambery brethren (Boss Selection, I'm looking at you), its nuclear-powered fruity-ambery heart beats insistently on for hours and hours, slowly deadening your sense of smell (and possibly your brain) with waves of harsh, thin, saccharine-sweet unpleasantness. Please don't compare this chemical munitions dump to a masterpiece like Brit, which actually shows bags of thoughtfulness and character. Ugh!

The Armani Code comparisons are spot on. This smells very similar to Code if slightly more feminine due to the increased intensity. I'd go with Code.

The first splash doesn't really say much about it, besides that it's something fresh.
After while it becomes a classy sweet but discreet and warm fragrance
you might not mind wearing if you get it as a gift.
I don't get which is the INTENSO part of this fragrance so I'td rather recommend Essenza di Zegna!

I must say I do like this stuff, however as Sir Slarty had mentioned something that really stuck out to me "rich amber base". I found that I really like amber. It's a very calming, very smooth scent that adds life. But the amber coupled with vanilla makes it a bit too sweet for me. Pardon me for a moment... Hey Zegna! strip that vanilla out of there and I would go buy a bottle right now. I digress! I will have to admit because of this fact I do prefer polo black over this. They both follow the same lines but where that sweet smoothness of intenso gets to become somewhat of a bother to me, the sharpness of polo black carries itself over. Now for the plus points. Intenso is very well executed, the light and dark theme they are going for has been mission accomplished. Great longevity, lasted on my skin for about 8-10 hours but the only thing I smell at that point is the vanilla and amber before mentioned.

Doesn't smell bad. But not nearly as interesting as either Code or Lolita Lempicka. I'll wear it, but I won't buy it again. Go with Code for more spice and LL for more floral. Zegna Intenso is both of those, minus what makes them interesting.

This is 100% Armani Code with a different name and a different bottle. I can't imagine how Zegna would have no remorse knowing they copied Code from start to finish. And this is not their only plagiarism... Zegna Extreme is a direct copy of Terre d'Hermes.

Armani Code. No more, no less. Not terrible in itself but lasts no time and wears too close to the skin. This should be intensely embarassing for Zegna.

I got a sample of this fragrance some time ago and tested it on my arm one day I was running out of fragrances.

It had a fresh start, a generic citric (I couldn't get the individual notes). Although it was still mixed with alcohol, it stayed alone just 5 minutes... then middle notes appeared, spicy but soft and with traces of flower (iris)... the spicy notes were similar to Essenza Di Zegna. One hour later the flower note became more intense and other spicy notes appeared, maybe pepper and cardamom... giving me a sensation of a perfume I already smelled some time ago. Two hours after the first spray some tonka bean notes appears, mixed with the flower note plus sweet amber. About 7 hours later I felt soft woody notes, maybe sandalwood, cedar and musk, plus traces of amber and a earthy note of iris.

Although it's fresh without being an oriental fragrance and the staying power is good, it hasn't special or unique notes and tends to be a tradicional fragrance. For daytime and office use, maybe at evening for simple events. Works fine at summer due to its fresh start, and at winter thanks to the tonka bean, amber and iris notes (giving a "dark-light" effect). Recommended for men over 30 years old.

LOVE IT! original scent, unique bottle.
The only problem is on me it lasts no more than 30 minutes. After that its completely gone without a SINGLE trace!!!!

If it LASTS on you, then GO FOR IT!!!

An indistinct haze of pointless fruity-ambery nonsense.

The opening reminds me a lot of XS and remotely of Himalaya. ZegnaIntenso turns almost instantly into a more peppery fragrance and dries down in a musk and vanilla scent.

Fresh, sweet, spicy and generic to the extreme, yet another addition to the host of those non-committal feel-good scents targeting the younger crowd that fill the shelves these days. The marketing people are doing their job – this is exactly the kind of stuff my 18 year old son douses himself with by the bucket. While the original Zegna doesn't seem to be held in high regard among connoisseurs for being linear, one-dimensional and too safe, it at least offered a certain quality of craftsmanship and an air of reserved dignity that are entirely missing from Intenso, which is a step down from even the rather insipid Essenza. To add insult to injury, Intenso is indeed quite strong. Turbo stuff, dude...
